There are two views at the Pounding Mill Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway, both of Looking Glass Rock.
From my parkway trip last Fall, this is a scenic overlook and amazingly, pretty close to what I viewed. These plants (weeds) were awful pretty this day.

Escape and take your family to one of the most magical, spectacular, and memorable vacations in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Panorama Ridge is a strenuous trek that can be completed as a day hike, or over multiple days with nights spent at numerous campsites or lookouts. Not only is this trail a great workout, but the views at the end of this route make this one of the most stunning hikes within Garibaldi Provincial Park. The trail starts at the Rubble Creek Trailhead, where there's a neat bridge over the Cheakamus River. The trail then proceeds into a series of switchbacks, with the first one being the longest and most difficult. At the end of the forest where the switchbacks come to a close, the trail comes to Helm Creek. This is a great area to stock up on fresh water from the creek just behind the camping pads, but bringing a filter is required. Eventually things flatten out and the landscape changes to feel almost like a desert, with lots of sand and small rocks and no cover from the sun. There is another river crossing on a very cool alpine bridge and the trail soon comes to the final third of the route. This part is a straight up incline and a mix of rock trails with some scrambling, depending on the season and amount of rockfall. This is the most difficult section. During the busy summer season, the pass system is in effect and tickets are required to be booked in advance.
