There's a new challenge at Stamp Nation to create a card with a sketch from Stamp Nation Design Team member Maureen Merritt. The DT provided fabulous inspiration using the sketch. My take closely follows the sketch, although I used stars rather than hearts as shown in the sketch. I've been wanting to combine this fun Lawn

Hello! Welcome to Day 2 of the Taylored Expressions February 2018 Release Sneak Peeks. The spring- and Easter-themed products will be released Thursday, February 8 @ 7 AM PST! For my first project, I created an encouragement/friendship card combining die-cuts, new and old, and a fabulous sentiment from Rain or Shine. I colored Sugar Cube cardstock with
Hey there, I've been wanting to try to make a magical rain shaker card for a few weeks now, since I saw Laura's video, so when I received the Hello Bluebird Rainy Day stamp set I took my beads out of their box and started to work on a card. To begin, I cut a 5,5 x 4.25 inches bristol panel and chose some oxide inks: broken china, chipped sapphire, peacock feathers and lucky clover. First I applied the lightest colors: peacock feathers at the bottom of the panel, and broken china on the rest of it. Next I added the dark colors: lucky clover at the bottom, and chipped sapphire at the top. I splattered water on the panel and dried it to create rain drops. I also added chipped sapphire and black soot drops. And to finish the panel I added white drops to add more contrast. To create to rain shaker mechanism I adhered foam strips at the top and bottom of the panel. Next I marked every 5 mm, again at the top and bottom. I took nylon thread and put 5 clear beads on it, removed a part of the backing paper on the foam strips, and attached the thread on the first mark, top and bottom. And I did the same thing for all the strings: five beads on the thread, and attaching the thread on the top and bottom marks. To secure all the strings during the process, I simply adhered double sided tape on both ends of the threads. And I also applied powder along the foam strips to avoid any stickiness. When all the strings were done, and to make more room for the beads, I attached a second strip of foam at the top and bottom of the panel. And of course I trimmed off the threads. Next I colored my image using my alcohol markers. As always it was stamped on Neenah solar white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. I cut a cloud border and a hill border out of bristol cardstock and colored them using the same inks as the ones used on the background, stamped my sentiment on the hill border, and attached them on my panel. And finally I attached the image using glue dots. Hello, friends, from Saint Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada! I'm located just across from Calais, Maine, USA, along the Skutik/Saint Croix River, in the traditional territory of the Peskotomuhkati/ Passamaquoddy people. A warm welcome to card-makers from around the Stampin' Up!® world for our blog hop! Today you'll see cards from Austalia, Canada, and the USA - all by talented members of the Inspirations in Ink group. I'll post the links to everyone's projects near the end of this post. This month's blog hop - and our upcoming tutorial bundle for March - features the super-cute Playing in the Rain Bundle. Ce produit est également disponible en français. My project also includes the matching Rain or Shine Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Loose Daisy Embellishments. To make this card, I started by using Stylish Shapes Dies to cut the 3rd smallest circle out of Basic White Cardstock and the 4th smallest circle out of Mango Melody Cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from Playing in the Rain Stamp Set in Cajun Craze Ink onto the white circle. I also cut out two animals from the Rain or Shine Specialty DSP. The turtle has a matching die, while the other animal I cut out with Paper Snips scissors. The DSP, which has a glossy coating that makes the raindrops look real, features whimsical animal designs, rain-themed patterns, and colourful abstracts: Next, I cut, scored, folded, and burnished with my Bone Folder a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Old Olive Cardstock card base. I adhered a 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White Cardstock panel. Then I cut a 2 1/4" square from Mango Melody Cardstock and a 2" square from the DSP. I cut both in half diagonally, then layered them onto the card as shown in the photo. I added the Mango Melody circle in the middle of the card, then used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the stamped white circle. I attached my two animal friends, slightly overlapping each onto the circles. As a final step, I added Loose Daisy Embellishments, securing with Mini Glue Dots. I really love these little flowers: Thanks so much for checking out my Playing in the Rain card. If you're in Canada and don't already have a demonstrator, please check out my ordering info below. My card today is reflective of our weather this week. But unlike the weather, it made me smile! It features the retired SU DSP: Rain or Shine. I cut a piece of this patterned paper for the card front then cut the matching umbrellas and adhered them using dimensionals to create a lot of dimension. Full disclosure…I used the Brother Scan n Cut to cut the umbrellas. The sentiment is from Spellbinders Cute Boots stamp… Continue reading

This card for the Lawnscaping Challenge #37 didn't end up the way I initially envisioned it. My first attempt using the Lawn Fawn "Sunny Skies" stamp set included two kites and a sun, but I just couldn't get the design to hang together. So naturally, I added more kites! I stamped white cardstock with the Hero Arts
Sometimes I get it wrong. The cute animals and brights papers in the Rain or Shine Suite were not on 'my A list' of products from Stampin' Up!'s January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. There wasn't anything I disliked about the cute characters and seasonal patterns in the coordinating papers, but I

Hello stampers and happy Friday to you. Today I am sharing some Rain or Shine cards with you. It is March after all and that usually means some rain instead of snow! Welcome! This is my first of four 20th Anniversary Celebration projects! March marks my 20th Anniversary with Stampin' Up! In honor of my anniversary every Sunday I'm going to share an amazing card or project all featuring some of my favorite products! Today we're kicking it off with an adorable card featuring the Playing In The Rain Bundle. This card has been sitting on my desk for a little over a week and I'm not afraid to tell you that every single time I've looked at it it's made me soooooo happy! The colors are so bright and vibrant and the bunny is too cute for words! No detail was spared on this card. I die cut some clouds with the Basic Borders Dies and Basic White Cardstock. To add some depth to them I used a Blending Brush and some Smoky Slate Ink to shade them. The DSP from the Rain or Shine pack makes the perfect background. My rainbow is made with bright cardstock and is sure to bring a smile to your face. My bunny couldn't be cuter! I used Stampin' Blends to color him and added two hills in different shades of green for even more depth. This card is an easel card so it stands up on a desk, shelf or mantel. It's so cute who ever you give it to will want to display it! Inside I have more of the rainbow and some clouds stamped from the set and shaded with a Blending Brush and Smoky Slate Ink. My greeting on the inside is from the February Paper Pumpkin kit-the Sunshine and Smiles Kit. Normally I don't use products you can't get but this greeting was soooo perfect. Look through your stash and see what you have that might work too.
