Printed Copy of Lynn's Wilkerson's The Real Deal. **Artist's Note: Nothing quite like listening to Billy Joe Shaver, the ORIGINAL Honky Tonk Hero, perform in the Backyard @ Riley's an ORIGINAL Honky Tonk. This is one of a series of Water Colors. I will be doing several of the older well know music and dance halls throughout Texas. Keep an eye out for the future paintings. Texas' First After Prohibition In September of 1933 J. C. (James Curtis) Riley, at the age of 17, drove to Austin, Texas from his home in Hunter, Texas, some 45 miles. He was in a Model "T" car with his uncle. The purpose of this trip was to obtain a beer license for his soon - to - be beer joint. It was now at the end of prohibition. He camped out on the steps of the Capital building and waited for it to open. He was the first person in line in Texas and got the first beer license! The original water color will be printed on high quality water color paper to maintain the feel and look of a true water color painting. The matte will then be applied before sealed in a cellophane cover. The finished product will be carefully packed and shipped to you within two weeks. Prints are available in a 9 x 12" Unmatted single sheet print, 9" x 12" Print Matted to 12 x 16" foam board or framed inside a wood and plexi glass 16" x 20" frame.
