Taken yesterday along the Columbia river. The wind was really blowing yesterday, and it caused these ripply clouds. I was originally going out to shoot some waterfalls, but the conditions just weren't ideal. This particular spot is one of the most challenging locations to get to, but it's also a popular sturgeon fishing spot, so the fisherman have laid ropes down the banks. It's very steep and slippery when wet, and at times I was second guessing whether or not this was such a good idea. This is also one of the most challenging exposures that I have dealt with so far. Because the cloud cover disappears right where the grad filter starts to fade, it was very hard to get a decent exposure. Singh Ray actually makes a special "reverse" grad filter for this exact reason, and I think I will be investing in one. Sigma 10-20 Polarizer - 3-stop GND
