Up for sale Che Seedless female grafted fruit tree, plant is 1 year old, 5-10 inches tall. Grafted on rootstock - Maclura Pomifera, to avoid root suckering. Hardy to Zones 5b-9 For fruit production you only need one plant. It does not require pollination by male plant. In fact if you will have male plant growing in close proximity - it will pollinate female tree flowers and this will result in developing seeds in the fruits. Which is not desired for seedless che fruit production. Variety description: This under appreciated fruit is a relative of mulberry and fig, and is native to central China. In addition to being grown for its fruit, traditionally Che leaves were used as a secondary food source for silk worms. Self-fertile seedless female trees bear a prolific crop of maroon-red, 1/2" fruit. Ripe fruit have a sweet flavor which is often compared to that of a fig with notes of watermelon. We graft our Che onto Osage orange (Maclura pomifera) rootstock so that as the plant matures it will develop less of a bush and more of a standard tree form. Young plants have small thorns. Site requirements: Full sun location. Che will grow in a range of soil types provided that the roots stay evenly moist throughout the heat of the summer. Deep, well drained loam is ideal. Size at maturity: 10-30' tall, up to 25' wide, depending on pruning. Keep it pruned for a smaller size. Very fast growing. Hardiness: USDA zones 5b-9. There are some reports of Che growing in USDA zone 5. Cooler climates may have insufficient summer heat to fully ripen the fruit. Pests and Diseases: None observed. Birds will eat the fruit if you are late to harvest and deer may browse both the fruit and foliage. We protect young trees with a circle of wire mesh to keep the deer away. Payment must be received within 3 days after the sale, then I ship the item. Feel free to ask me any questions about this item. I am always glad to help you. I ship Mondays or Wednesdays. Shipping with tracking number in USA. Shipping in container where it grows during the summer. From October through April (Dormancy period) shipped with roots wrapped in wet media and plastic, in the box. International shipping soil-less, with roots wrapped in wet media.
Red Atemoya / Red Geffner / Israel Red / 47-18 / Red temoylata It has many names, but one thing is for sure: it’s one of the most beautiful annonas out there. The parent trees are Geffner Atemoya and San Pablo Reticulata. These trees are grafted onto Annona glabra rootstock, which is the best preforming and compatible rootstock for Reticulata genetics. We are offering these trees to you because we have had many requests for them. The height of the trees may vary from 1 to 4 feet, as well as the size pot for most are 1 gal. On sale $19.99 Free shipping Exp 10/11/2023 About : Trifoliate orange or hardy orange is an invasive deciduous thorny shrub or small tree in the Rutaceae (citrus) family native to China. The species name trifoliata is Latin for three leaved and refers to the glossy dark green three lobed leaves of this plant. It prefers well drained, acidic soil in a sunny location and grows up to nearly 20' tall. This plant blooms in mid-spring and the showy orange fruit ripens in early fall. Thorns are sharp and numerous and are not for high traffic areas. It is intolerant of shady sites and isn't particularly winter-hardy. The lemon-like fruit is exceedingly sour and full of seeds. If eaten in large quantities, the high acidity can cause severe stomach pain and nausea. Some people experience minor skin irritation with prolonged contact. While the peel and the pulp can be used to make marmalade, the fruit is often left on the tree to provide beauty well into winter. 4 pieces of Fossil rootstock of giant clubmoss Stigmaria ficoides? and Lepidodendron Obovatum? Carboniferous Period, about 300 million years old. Millions of years ago, Scotland was located near the equator and the area was covered by a shallow warm sea. These fossils were deposited on the beaches here in layers of limestone, yellow sandstone and shales. This region in the South of Scotland was a highly volcanic area during the time these plants grew. There are rocky volcanic outcrops or volcanic plugs throughout the town and harbour area. The best known of these is the famous Bass Rock, now a nesting site for seabirds. Quite often these fossils are found among and close to volcanic deposits, which does make me wonder if the fossil deposits happened as a result of a volcanic event. The fossils are approx 6.2cm to 2.8 cm long.

However, before planting, you must determine whether the location you have in mind will be suitable. They are happiest in warm zone appropriate climates. However as all our trees are grafted on semi dwarf rootstocks they are ideal for container growing, as they will stay smaller. No yard is needed. No matter how you grow you're going to get full size fruit with full size flavor.
