Royal Doulton Will o'the Wisp | Lambeth Stoneware | Creamer | Made in England | Royal Doulton Will o'the Wisp (LS1023) was produced from 1977 to 1992 and is Oven Safe, Dishwasher Safe, and Microwave Safe. This pattern is a neutral tone with delicate wisps of white flowers and leaves, with a green stripe accent. With Lambeth Stoneware, which was in production from 1974 until 1992, Royal Doulton revived a great English stoneware tradition. Adding to its beauty and charm, and certainly enhancing its appeal to customers, was its practicality for modern-day usage: Lambethware was machine washable, oven proof, freezer proof and detergent proof, all while being deceptively robust. Dimensions: 4" or 10 cm tall and 3 1/2" / 9 cm in diameter and 5 1/2" / 14 cm spout to handle In excellent vintage condition. Please view all photos as they form part of the description. International Tracked & Insured Shipping with PostNL About Royal Doulton Royal Doulton is an English ceramic and home accessories manufacturer that was founded in 1815. Operating originally in Vauxhall, London, and later moving to Lambeth, in 1882 it opened a factory in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, in the centre of English pottery. From the start, the backbone of the business was a wide range of utilitarian wares, mostly stonewares, including storage jars, tankards and the like, and later extending to drain pipes, lavatories, water filters, electrical porcelain and other technical ceramics. From 1853 to 1901, its wares were marked Doulton & Co., then from 1901, when a royal warrant was given, Royal Doulton. In 1901 King Edward VII awarded the Burslem factory the Royal Warrant, allowing that part of the business to adopt new markings and a new name, Royal Doulton. The bathroom ceramics and other utilitarian wares initially continued to be branded Doulton and Co. The company added products during the first half of the 20th century, and the tableware and decorative wares tended to shift from stonewares to high-quality bone china.
