The Isle of Skye, Scotland, is one of the most beautiful destinations in the U.K.! There are a few things I wish I knew before visiting the Isle of Skye.
Ailsa Craig off the coast of Scotland is a wee North Atlantic isle that looks like a big curling stone. If you don't know what those are, you haven't been watching the rather odd sport of curling at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. It's played with brooms and a shiny stone that's made exclusively from rare granite mined on Ailsa Craig.
