Welcome to my "little" stop on the Club Scrap Constellations Blog Hop. Miniature books made using Club Scrap Constellations papers and stamps. Miniature handmade books displayed in a matchbox. I seem to be a "little" obsessed with miniature handmade books this month! It's like I'm "seein' stars" when I think of these mini book projects. The small scale galaxy print on the Constellations 8.5x11" White Text Weight Print (CST) was ideal for wrapping the covers. The smaller images on the Constellations Unmounted Stamps worked well for decorating for the front covers and inside pages. Each mini book has its own special features. It all started when I made this mini pamphlet stitch book to fit inside the 2-1/2 x 1-1/2" matchbox I had in my stash. (If you're interested in assembly instructions, check out the link for details.) I don't want to bore you with duplicate info, so I'm going to let the pictures do the talking. I guess it just wasn't in the stars for me to create only one mini book. For book #2, I created the world's smallest spiral bound notebook complete with a tiny library card holder attached to the inside cover. Spiral binding created with needle, waxed linen thread, and wooden dowel. Last, but not least...how cute is this tiny book with a nook built inside? I even got to incorporate the Constellations theme with a tiny bottle of glitter "star dust" inside! Below, a few visuals of the mini nook book construction. Wrapped outside book cover. Nook made with matte board cut to fit inside. Wrapped book nook piece is glued to the inside back cover. I think the Nook Book may be my favorite! It looks like I have a good start on a mini matchbox library. It will be fun to make more mini books with other Club Stamp Prints to add to my collection. Talk about "light" reading!!! Ha! Next on the hop is the lovely and talented Shona at Shona Scraps. Be sure to check out what she is up to with the Constellations Kit. Thanks for looking. Kay

Hello! On Wednesday I shared with you the first pages of my SMASH words book, inspired by word prompt flair from {a flair for buttons}. You can see that post here. Today, I am sharing the rest of the "loving..." pages: I went with an orange/navy/pink color palette for this page spread about Spring. Not typical Spring colors, but I still love the combination. I used a die-cut card by Dear Lizzy as the focal point on the left side. The right side features a glassine bag by SRM Stickers, as well as some SRM sticker sentiments. I added bits and pieces to the outside and placed my photos inside the bag. The next page has a very different color palette - light pink, teal and tan. I wanted this page spread to be especially girly. I used some things I'd been hoarding in my SMASH stash, such as a clothing label, vintage wallpaper, and a paint chip: On the other side I wanted some semi-private space for journaling, so I adhered a card that you can open to read. This beautiful flair is by {a flair for buttons}. I thought it was a perfect match :). I'm adding more close-ups and views of these pages to my flickr photostream here. Join me next Sunday for more pages. I haven't decided which book I'll be playing in this week, but I'm itching for some SMASHing time and will definitely have a lot to share. Thanks for stopping by! Tessa
