Hi there! I'm excited to be sharing my second set of projects made with the Scrapshotz April Kit featuring 1 Canoe 2 Twilight. This month the Design Team is using the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine April Sketch for inspiration. Here is my take on the sketch. I changed it up a bit by using five photos instead of three, but other than that, I stuck pretty closely to the sketch. The large flower die cut really balances out the five photos and draws your attention to the title. All the other embellishments are from the kit, except the word stickers which are from Pink Paislee Pick Me Up. The kit includes the matching stamp set from the Twilight collection and for my second project, I wanted to make a one layer card with it. I started with a piece of 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of white cardstock and my Distress Oxide inks in various colours. I stamped the flowers and leaves in a random pattern, then used my diecutter and a stitched rectangle die to cut it down. I then mounted it on a piece of pink cardstock and then on a white card base. The sentiment was stamped with an Altenew phrase stamp and some rose gold embossing powder. To finish it all off, I sprinkled it with Nuvo Crystal Drops. Be sure to check out the complete April kit in the store. Thanks for looking! Sylvie
Have you tried the No Line Watercolouring Technique? I hadn't and decided to test it out using the Daisy Garden stamp. This is a very large stamp so it is best to use a stamp positioner as once the stamp is mounted on an extra large block it gets very heavy and can be difficult
I wanted to share a couple of water color versions of the beautiful Concord & 9th Hello Lovely Stamp Set. I stamped the outline images for both cards with a VersaMark Watermark Stamp Pad on Fabriano Artistico 140 lb. Cold Press 20 Sheet Block 9 x 12- Extra White (Affiliate Link) I then added some WOW! Silver Pearl Embossing Powder and heat embossed it with the Hero Arts Wagner Precision Heat Tool. I water colored the image with a #1 and #6 watercolor brush (cheap ones I picked up at my local art supply store) using Ranger Distress Ink Pads Tumbled Glass Pick Raspberry Peeled Paint Shabby Shutters After it dried I added some Sheer Shimmer Sparkle to the flower petals to add some shine. I mounted my finished image on a Bazzill Marshmallow card stock base. I also water colored this image with the same #1 and #6 watercolor brush. Using a Kuretake Gansai Tambi Water Colors, 36-Color Set (Affiliate Link) I used these colors 67-Deep Blue 62-Cobalt Blue 54-Olive Green 51-May Green 58-Ever Green 95-Silver 90-Gold After they dried I then I placed the colored images into the Hampton Arts Stamp Perfect (I'm currently out, but have more on order) and stamped the Hello Lovely sentiment with VeraFine Onyx Black Ink. I matted this finished image on a piece of Bazzill Raven card stock. Then mounted that onto a Bazzill Marshmallow card stock base. Supplies You can find links to the supplies I used below.
