I was lucky to get to guest design for Boys Rule Scrapbook Kits this month. This is a fairly new kit club dedicated to putting together awesome kits for Boy pages. Anyone who has a lot of boy photos to scrapbook knows that there aren't nearly as many options for masculine supplies as there are for the girly stuff. Boys Rule wants to help you find the best boy stuff out there and make it easy for you to get! No Girls Allowed, ha ha! This is the first layout I made with the December "Big Boy" kit (there's also a December "Little Boy" kit, which is adorable!) This kit features perfectly grungy papers from Scrap Within reach, and they were loads of fun to work with. I loved that there was a nice big sheet of clean corrugated cardboard in the kit (it's easy to get the dirty stuff in my blue bin, ha!). Of course, it didn't take me long to use the chalk ink pads from the kit and add some grungy colour (there were 4 of the new Ingvild Bolme inks by Prima - nice and creamy!). I'm in love with any wood scrap supplies lately, and I was delighted to find these Pink Paislee letters in the kit. I decided to leave them bare for this page, so they would pop. This kit also included an awesome Smash book date stamp - just that little bit cooler than the average date stamp - you can be using this one on all sorts of things, for years to come. The kit had a full sheet of Technique Tuesday coaster board stars. I customized them with two of the ink pads from the kit (the grey and the blue) and then lightly spritzed them with water so the colours would blend. Super easy! And the chunky zipper was also part of the kit - love this - it's like the boy version of lace. Supplies (from Boys Rule Scrapbook Kits - December "Big Boy Kit") PP - Scrap Within Reach wood letters - Pink Paislee coasterboard stars - Technique Tuesday ink - Ingvild Bolme for Prima Marketing date stamp - Smash other - corrugated cardboard, buttons, zipper Other Supplies: marker - Faber-Castell PITT pen (yup - everything else - even the ink - was included in the kit!)
Hello there friends. Today I am sharing another page that I created with the super new Lady Pattern Paper, Monsters in Space collection. This is a super cute collection to scrap those little monsters in your life. I love to combine new collection with Basic Essentials. With this page, I knew that I wanted to add more solid patterns to compliment the beautiful patterned papers. I cut a Star from the Monsters in Space – Gaspod and Friends (stars side). I then cut blocks of the following papers: Monsters in Space – PEW PEW, Monsters in Space – Happy Skulls (stripes side), Monsters in Space – PEW PEW (diagonal stripes). I layered the star and each of the blocks onto Macho Camo Dazzling Blue, I also punched a border from the Betty Brick Dazzling Blue (b side) to add to my layers. I then cut strips from Moroccan Trellis Green Chartreuse and Flourish Red Pop. I cut two of the trips into banners to add behind the star and photo. I completed the page by adding strips of the same paper to form a cluster at the bottom. The It’s a boy thing chipboard title was heat embossed in black and I finished the page by adding black enamel dots. I fussy cut “monsters” from the Monsters in Space – Gaspod and Friends. After layering my patterned papers the way I wanted it, I added the fussy cut monsters around my page as embellishments. I used the star stencil and Distress Ink in Faded Jeans for added texture on the white background. Be sure to get your Monsters in Space collection from your local scrapbook store.
Hi there friends, thank for stopping by. Today I have a cute little layout featuring my grandson Henry. I just couldn't decide which photo to use, so I used them all !! I have taken my inspiration from the November challenge over at More Than Words Challenge. This month the challenge word is OUTDOORS. Either use it in your title of simply be inspired by it. Our creative challenge this month is to use WOODGRAIN. Too easy. You can see here I have use a woodgrain paper underneath my photos. Some lovey mixed media on my background using some Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals in "Opal Sea Oats" & some "Afternoon Delight Denim" spray. The perfect chipboard title from 2Crafty Chipboard. Lots of background stamping & some torn up pieces of corrugated card. I must say I love this little dictionary definition...... BOY. noun. A noise with dirt on it !! Just perfect for this layout. :) I do hope you will play along with us this month & join in our challenge. We have EIGHT MONTHLY PRIZES on offer as always. Hello everyone This week I have a cute baby page to share using Echo Parks It's a Boy collection. Perfection The newest member of our family arrived last month and now I have lot of cute baby boy pages to do! The Echo Park It's A Boy collection is just adorable, cutest colour combo of navy, teal nd pops of yellow. I've started with some stenciling - yellow stars and some grey dots using Distress Oxides. Next I've layered up some papers with some torn edges before hitting the cute embellishments. I have used the 12 x12 element sticker sheet and the 6 x13 Chipboard Accents. A few pieces from my stash - a cute tag, flair and enamel dot combine well with the cute stickers and chipboard pieces. And a 2Crafty chipboard title "Perfection" inked in navy the final finishing touch. Thanks for stopping byTill next weekFionax
