Yes I do.. Something in deed. Something that I love to make. And in all honesty I have have to many of these, but I just can't help myself.. I bet you already know what it is. If you follow along with my blog.. You definitely know.. Over at City Crafter City Blog the sweet and talented Ros has challenged us to make a pocket project.. I am also entering this into Tag Tuesdays challenge Louise it challenging us to Surprise.. So you know what I put in my pocket? Yep, some Tags. But you already knew that didn't you! I had a lot of fun making this project.. It's a little pocket card with a couple of Tags in it. So here is my first Tag I made for my pocket.. This one has lots of buttons.. Here is the other Tag.. Just like the first tag I used all of my favorite things.. Topped it off with a button and some seam binding.. I added some little flowers with some cute little pearls. And there you have it. This is my design piece for the Stamp Man challenge this week and the lovely Frankie has chosen the theme 'Travel'. Since I just came back off holiday you would think this would be easy for me - but no, it tested my imagination again. Hurry up Mr Mojo and give me some spontaneity. Inspiration has come from these challenges - Simon Says Stamp and Show is also travel, Take a Word - Old fashioned (the plane certainly is) and The Paper Variety has another travel theme. Anyway I created a tag card. On the front I glued some TH atlas paper then swooshed it a bit in paints and dry stippled some over it too. Then I spritzed with gold mist. Over that I blended DIs and edged the whole card with vintage photo. I've stamped the sentiment and other bits straight onto the card and stamped the plane onto copper metal, made a tape sandwich with strong card and cut it out, sealing the edges with a metal tool. Using a trinket pin, I added a philosophy tag to the ribbon. I used the stains and spritz for the inside of the card and made it look like a place for the correspondence with a MME stamp and using a TH 'post card' stamp as well. I have a friend having her 60th birthday coming up, so I might use this as her birthday card as she just loves to travel. Hiya Ive actually had the time this fortnight to join in with The Stampman Challenge. Yay!! They've probably forgotton who I am!!LOL I even bought the Sizzix Sewing Room Die about a month back and this is the first time Ive used it!! But Ive got to say I'm so glad I did and I'm sure I'll get loads of use from it. I even let loose on my sewing machine. Papers i have used are the gorgeous Pion Design. It's Wednesday and another challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog! This week our theme is Tags, and the design team are using Ranger products. I had fun making mine this week! It's that time of year when we gardeners start longing for growing things, so I chose that for my theme. I used these Ranger products: Peacock Feathers and Vintage Photo distress inks, Verdigris embossing powder, and a manila tag. The largest fern is simply stamped with peacock feathers ink, and the other to the left was stamped with VersaMark and embossed with Verdigris powder. They are very close in color, but the embossed one has a golden shimmer to it. Other supplies: Hero Arts Silhouette Fern, Traditional Butterfly, and the subtle script is from the Artistic Windows set, sentiment from Impression Obsession's In a Garden set. The clock motif comes from an old Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden Collection stamp set. I dyed my seam binding with some distress ink, and added some natural twine to it. And here's a 2nd one, using roughly the same colors, but with a bird and music theme: I started with cream cardstock that was trimmed to fit inside the kraft tag and stamped some music across it, then used this Mini Flower Frenzy stencil to add some broken china details. My sentiment is from a Hero Arts set, Essential Messages, and my branch is Simon's Small Forest Tree; the bird is the Perched Reed Bird by Memory Box. Then I added Lawn Fawn sequins, an October Afternoon button, and some lace and twine to finish. Ranger products used here are Vintage Photo and Broken China distress inks, and the kraft tag. ETA: I'm adding this 2nd tag to the Moxie Fab World's Styling with Stencils challenge. I am thrilled to have been asked to craft handmade embellishments for Scrapbook Heaven's kits. One of my favorite parts of scrapbooking is coming up with and creating my own embellishments for my pages. It's funny, now that I think of it, I very rarely purchase ready-made accents. Dies, punches, rhinestones and pearls--now that's a different story. Here's a look at the embellishments I created for the April kits: I had a blast putting these together. I think the mini pinwheels are my favorite! Some more pics, just because I took them! Punched word tags: I knew someday I would find a use for that punch alphabet set.
