These are meant to be Christmas ornaments, but I think they would work beautifully as scrapbooking embellishments, don’t you? You’ll need a scallop punch, wood veneer and string to pull…

Hello dear friends, it's time for party #19!! Thank you so much for all you sweet ones who join the party so faithfully! ...
Hello and Welcome Everyone, Hope you are all going good and enjoying your weekend. Its been a stressful couple of weeks here, but yesterday I finally got to spend some time in my 'happy place' creating this months Tim Holtz 12Tags of 2016- just the tonic I needed! Tim's August tag and tutorial can be found here so be sure to pop over to see and learn from the 'master' himself. As I have pretty much stuck to Tim's tutorial for this month's technique remix tag- 'Brayered stains and Frameworks,' I have just a few photos to share. Here they are The colour palette I have worked with is Wild Honey distress stain( brayered) , Rusty Hinge and Walnut Stain distress inks inked with blending tool) . I also used Black Soot distress ink to distress the edges of the tag. I used paper from the 'Dapper' pad, gold mirror, textile and textured surfaces for the inner pieces of the honeycomb frameworks. The ideology mirrored star is tinted with Latte Alcohol ink and with my sewing machine back 'in situ' I was able to add some stitching to my tag and of course some of my much loved paint splatters. and in case you don't fancy scrolling back up again- here is my take on Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2016- August Thanks Tim for yet another fabulous tag and monthly dose of creative inspiration- the best medicine anyone could ever wish to be prescribed! Thank you all for taking time out of your day to stop by . I really do appreciate your visits, follows and comments. Hopefully see you again soon but in the meantime be sure to Take care and stay on the 'happy' side Amanda xxx
Hello everyone, lovely to see you here! Yesterday I had some unexpected time to play and so I decided to alter a tag, play with some techniques and just have some fun, - here is the result: I started with the central panel, which was a piece of Manila card stock leftover from another project. I covered it with a thin layer of Paperartsy Grungepaste, spread unevenly with a pallet knife. While still wet I spritzt a Tim Holtz script stamp with water and stamped into it. When it had dried, I then coloured it with Tumbled Glass, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress inks. I gave it a couple of spritzes with some home made Perfect Gold mists, Gold and Green Patina, I also added a little bit of a patina Gelato. Here is a close up: I stamped the Tim Holtz Papillon butterflies twice on smooth card stock with Potting Soil archival. I cut the three largest ones out, coloured them with the same colours, plus some Peacock Feather Distress ink. I glued one on top of the other for a 3D effect and then adhered them to the panel. The actual tag was a size 10. I added some strips of old book paper and blended over it with Antique Linen Distress paint. I then coloured in a similar way but I also added some Chipped Sapphire and blue chalk ink around the edges to deepen the colour. The butterfly panel was adhered over a bit of torn corrugated card on one side. As you can see, I embellished with a rusted pen nib and a stamped Tim Holtz ticket. The pen nib was rusted with a cool medium called Rust Copper from Modelmates. I got a little sample to try out, hopefully Calico Crafts will be stocking this very soon. I also added some Rust Antiquities embossing powder. On the other side I added a Tattered Doily, cut from the same old book paper. I finished the tag in my usual way with some died seam binding, a little Prima flower to hold it together and a type key charm. I realize it's not the most original of tags, but I can't help it, I just love those Tim Holtz butterflies. I guess they must be one of my most used stamps. Well, there you have it. Hope you like my grungy tag. It has all my favourite colours and I had fun making it. I am going to add this to Brenda's (Floral Fantasies) 5 year blogoversary candy challenge as I am using my all time favourite products with this tag, Distress Inks and Tim Holtz's Papillon stamp. Thank you for visiting like always and I hope you find the time for some creative art play yourselves!! I always find there is no better way to unwind!

If you joined the Gummiapan live last week you might recognize some of todays tags, but there is a couple of new. I used a brown paperbag and an offwhite old paper to make those tags. Circletags decorated with images I made with some of the dies from last weeks release. I also used some of the stencils from Gummiapan: no. 6, 12 och19. Njut av dagen! Enjoy your day! /DT-Karin
Made these for 3 very awesome Flickr friends....long overdue thank-you's. I accidentally cut the cardboard the wrong size, so I cheated and backed the ATC's with transparency film to make them 3.5x2.5. Had fun with Melody Ross Papers, Tim Holtz Tissue Tape, Glitz Distress Stamps, Nunn Designs and Jewelry Shoppe Embellishments. Only 2 1/2 more weeks of this college semester (it is kicking my booty), then a small break during the Christmas Holidays before I start the next one. Off to study for an exam, as I had to work all day yesterday.... Hope you all have a Happy, love-filled Thanksgiving. I am certainly thankful for all of you. Thanks so much for looking, friends. :)
Hi I am Gez from Nigezza Creates, I am an independent Stampin Up Demonstrator.
Hello fellow Crafters, Over at the Tag Along Challenge blog the theme this week is bees. Here's mine: I glued some texted pattern...
for the love of pockets If you are here and reading this I think I may know something about you. You have a thing for mini albums. I know you do because you tell me all the time. This little mini in particular is a definite new favorite of mine. I'm a little loving this one for sure. Thinking you are gonna like it as well. Every time I post anything with these Nested Pocket Dies, I get many questions about them. I had not made a mini album with them like this before. This was such great fun. There is a REEL on my Instagram feed that shares a bit of the details. But it will probably need a full blown YouTube to chat about all the things. I used a different Sun Chaser pattern for each pocket. I just played and moved patterns around until I like the combination. Then I cut each pocket out from the Nested Pocket Dies. Next, I cut an additional pattern paper to fit the back of each of the pockets plus about a half inch more. That portion was scored, then folded, and fold was tucked into the pocket behind it. Yeah...this is gonna need a full blown tutorial. That's for sure. And that is what makes this a Pocket Book. Pocket bound to another pocket. Then layers of ephemera and definition stickers and puffy stickers. This could be a mini album for photos. It could be a junk journal, home to all our favorite papery things. It could be a quote book, holding all your favorites. Like I say so often, the possibilities are multiple. And the outcome? Magical.
