The curves, spirals of growth, the unfolding of leaves and flowers, the bursting of seed pods - all of which imply controlled movement, a disciplined and mathematical progression. The illustrations include the artist's own cast and others. Please note the price quoted is for resin casting which takes 6 weeks. Bronze casting price is available on request. This is established on individual enquiry as prices are updated quarterly due to fluctuating material costs. We can also facilitate fixings and installation to suit the location. The sculpture is sold in an edition of 9, 5 having been cast and installed thus far in the UK, South of France, Los Angeles and Wuhan, China and another in France. Door to door shipping and installation can be facilitated and is provided by professional art shipping specialists.

The seeds in this series will leave you in complete awe of what unique nuts and kernels can be found on Earth.
Notes: The sculpture is cast to order and is purchased without the plinth illustrated. The plinth can be supplied at additional cost. The price and images are of a resin casting but orders are freshly cast either in resin or bronze (bronze price is quoted on requested) with a variety of coloured finish options for both. Here the finish is in a blue grey tone, a colour which is particularly well suited to warmer light as one moves towards the tropic and equatorial lines. Lead times are approximately 6 weeks for resin, and 12 weeks for bronze, confirmed on enquiry. The next available casting is number 3/9 Anne Curry is a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors. Her outdoor sculpture has been exhibited at major exhibition gardens around the UK and her work can be found in collections across Europe, Asia and the USA. Her work has featured at the Venice Biennale, the Royal Botanic Gardens in London and is currently shown in the Royal Enclosure, Ascot. Drawing inspiration from plant forms, her work evokes the power of life at work in nature. At its core are the curves, spirals of growth, the unfolding of leaves and flowers, the bursting of seed pods (as here) - all of which imply controlled movement, a disciplined and mathematical progression. In this piece there is a powerful sense of the immense energy within, what would in nature appear, a static object. The photographs illustrates this sculpture in a resin casting in the artist's own sculpture garden.

The main photograph illustrates this sculpture in a resin casting in the artist's own sculpture garden. Each sculpture is fresh cast to order, either in resin or in bronze. Bronze is quoted on enquiry as it involves more expensive materials and more processes. Please note that it is possible to change the colour of the finish, for example light greys, deep blue (which suits the warmer light than we experience in the UK and north) and we can advise on this and send samples. This sculpture is sold in an edition of 6. Only one casting remains available. Resin casting lead time 6 weeks, bronze 12-14 weeks.

Within the vast collections of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is a trove of dried specimens that once were juicy seeds and fruits primed for reproduction. Now gnarled, fractured, and blanketed in tiny, dehydrated bristles, the individual pods have been preserved as part of the carpological archive at the Scottish institution, a resource photographer Levon Biss (previously) spent hours sifting through in preparation for a stunning new series of macro images.
