Most of us are used to experiencing sound as an exclusively auditory experience. But scientist and photography enthusiast Linden Gledhill isn't most of us. He sees it. And he's happy to show how. Real Photos of Mouth for Speech Sounds - Set 1 ***This product is included in the Sound Wall bundle! Check out my shop to learn more! Sound Walls are a newer and more effective way of teaching children phoneme-grapheme correspondence (letter-sound knowledge). On a Sound Wall, high-frequency words are organized according to their sounds, and their spelling patterns are emphasized. This is a stark contrast to a Word Wall, which organizes high-frequency words alphabetically. Sound Walls often include mouth articulation pictures. This helps students accurately produce the sound and match the phoneme (sound) to its grapheme (letter or letters). There are many letters with similar sounds. Mouth articulation pictures help students differentiate between sounds. For example, /f/ as in fish and /th/ as in thumb sound very similar, but the position of your teeth, tongue, and lips are distinctly different. Implementing Sound Walls is an instructional technique that aligns with the science of reading. Research shows that explicit reading instruction is beneficial for all students and necessary for many. Sound Walls explicitly teach graphemes that go with the speech sounds in our language. Sound Walls provide a way for teachers to introduce regular and complex letter-sound patterns systematically. Get started today! This product includes: - Mouth articulation pictures for vowels and consonants (approximately 6 per page) - Mouth articulation pictures with the vowel and consonant letters (4 per page) - Mouth articulation pictures with a keyword and letter (4 per page) - Bulletin Board Pieces - Portable Sound Wall for students ***Articulation Pictures Only! For more than 15 years, AudioVitality has been breaking new ground in the medical use of low frequency sound vibration technology. AudioVitality wanted a new, iconic logo to symbolize and certify their revolutionary technology, similar to the powerful symbols used to represent Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Their new icon needed to visually express the benefits of sound vibrations in a contemporary, inspiring way. We quickly realized that the visual representation of sound went hand in hand with movement, and that motion design was the perfect tool for developing AudioVitality's new visual identity.
