There’s a global groundswell of support to build spaceports. From New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wisconsin to Scotland, the United Arab Emirates and Singapore, space tourism is setting up camp.
Africa is full of amazing 20th century architecture, whether it's an almost forgotten piece of Italy, or some incredible space-age buildings. But fewer

Kyle (Slushey) knows how to move cargo in style. I can picture his heavy crate mover scooting around spaceports, transferring goods bound from Aldebaran to Alpha Centauri.
From skyscrapers and spaceports to relics and ruins, these visualizations reveal the wide variety of ways in which architecture frames modern society. Congratulations to the Finalists of the 2022 #OneRenderingChallenge!

Basically a big rolling battery, Jump Trucks are a common sight at any spaceport, where they can jumpstart spacecraft through their usually time consuming power-up sequences. Most spaceports are required by law to have Jump Trucks on hand in case of emergency evacuation scenarios, generating expensive storage and maintenance costs. The 'ports offset this by hiring the trucks out to the owners of modern Smart Buildings. When configured correctly, a giving your Smart Building a jump results in an efficient, quasi-legal data purge.
As decades passed and our landing rockets, spaceplanes and regular planes grew larger, we needed equipment that could assist such enormous aerospace vehicles in airports, spaceports and space platforms; and thus, models of pushback tractors like the Big Ox were created. This project was created as a complement to my Cornerstone-type Landing Rocket without any 2D sketching and also as my first attempt at Substance Painter. In the year 2761, a small spaceship company known as Shilze manufacturing decided to make a tough, reliable vehicle for carrying heavy cargo from spaceport to spaceport. The original design was a rectangular block with thrusters in the back, and a smooth, strong outer shell of armor plating to protect the potentially precious cargo from all but the worst bumps. Back then, the The Iron Lockjaw's future pilot was only 16, but had picked up the tips of the smuggling trade from his father, a well known businessman and smuggler on the side, who had made his career by smuggling illegal artifacts into major shipping ports and selling them on the black market for quadruple their worth. Two days after Daxtus' 16th birthday, the Police appeared at his family's home and arrested his father for smuggling of illegal artifacts. All of the family's money was taken away leaving the Daxtus and his mother homeless with no money and no income. That was the day that Daxtus changed. He grew to blame the Police and the government for his family's current position, and decided that no matter what happened, he would spend the rest of his life in defiance of the people who ruined his family by continuing where his father left off. He got a job working at a small restaurant washing the dishes, and began accumulating money, through legitimate and illegitimate means. When Daxtus was 22, he found a boxy looking cargo ship produced by Shilze manufacturing for very little money. He bought the ship, and began refitting it with scraps of metal and circuitry to better suit his needs as a smuggler. Over a period of two years, Daxtus gutted the ship and rebuilt it, buying engines, reworking the interior, and adding concealed boxes in which to hide his illegal items to smuggle into the spaceports. Finally, the ship was finished and Daxtus chose to name his ship "The Iron Lockjaw" referring to the cockpit's interlocking chunks of metal that snap together like the jaws of a Lockle fish. His planning nearing completion, Daxtus set out to find a suitable partner to help him with his "business." At first the search yielded no results, but after Daxtus had given up all hope, an reptilian alien by the name of Asdaz Frest approached him and offered his services as a smuggler. Thus, the legendary band was formed that went on to smuggle many thousands of items all across the galaxy. Their most well known and daring exploit was a smuggling operation to the massive space-station that served as a base for the entire Galactic Police force, as well as the Government that was so desperate to catch them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is my entry to the "A Smugglers Life for Me" contest at the Space Pirate group. I unveiled this at Brickfair (a.k.a brought it with me), and I've been planning to post it for some time now. It has a fully detailed cockpit and rear cargo hold, as well as a secret function that can be seen in the video below. The VIDEO.
