Completed upper cabinet with 8020 8020 Extruded Aluminum T-Slot cabinet The majority of our Sprinter van build structure so far has been done with 3/4" plywood and no 8020 aluminum extrusions. This has worked out pretty well. The upper cabinet for this latest project is a little different in that it has fewer attachment points
One of the earliest steps in van builds are putting “studs” in the walls. Anywhere that we were going to install heavy cabinetry or paneling, we installed wooden "studs" in the van wall so that we could secure them into something other than just the metal ribs of the van. In order to pick the location of these studs, we had to be sure of where and how we were going to install the cabinets.
