I had a couple of small projects to make this week using using golden ambers They inspired me to take an existing design and expand it to be able to include a few more shades. A mandala faz parte do imaginário de todos os povos. Em termos muito simples, trata-se de uma construção concêntrica, elaborada para auxiliar à ascensão da Mente através de vários estados de consciência. A palavra Mandala deriva do sânscrito e significa círculo. Como é sabido, o círculo é um seimbolo universal de unidade, uma representação do Cosmos. O círculo delimita o sagrado e o profano, dilui a fronteira entre os mundos, anula o tempo e o espaço, constituindo um resumo de todos os ciclos, a roda do ano, as etapas da vida e a eterna transmutação entre estados. Estando presentes em todas as culturas, as mandalas são, geralmente, compostas por uma grande profusão de cores e formas interiores, sendo estes padrões feitos de acordo com as respectivas tradições. Os vários estágios de construção de uma mandala são correspondidos aos vários níveis de contemplação. A própria comnstrução da mandala, é em muitos casos, uma forma de meditação ativa. Efetivamente, o fenômeno psíquico induzido e elaboração e contemplação de mandalas, jea foi estudado por investigadores bem conhecidos, como por exemplo, Carl Gustav Jung. Os estudos sugerem entre outras coisas, que a construção de mandalas reflete os padrões mentais e os conflitos interiores, libertando-os durante o processo. Existem infinitas formas e materiais utilizados na construção de mandalas. Após o declínio das sociedades pré-cristãs, uma nova religião reconheceu a tradição das mandalas. Assim, encontramo-las novamente nos espaços sagrados. Vê-se aqui o maravilhoso vitral da Catedral de Chartres. E aqui, o não menos impressionante labirinto iniciático, também no mesmo templo – um percurso de elevação espiritual através da oração e do arrependimento.
