Hallo!

While at OnStage in November, my friend Mindy Backes gave me a lovely card that features a stamp set I don't own. It stood out to me for two reasons: (1) There aren't many sets I don't own and (2) It's absolutely gorgeous! I love Mindy's clean styles and artistry on

Good Day Crafty Friends, Hope you are having a fabulous day. My afternoon was spent unpacking my pre-order goodies!! So exciting. All the dies got placed on a magnetic sheet and the stamp sets found a home (alphabetically) on the "current" shelf. They are all snug in their new forever home lol Guess what.....It's challenge time over at Just Add Ink. Yipeeeee! And, I am still a guest designer, the JAI DT have not booted me yet (insert squishy face) Anywho, enough gas bagging, this weeks challenge is a colour combination using Tranquil Tide, Powder Pink and Pool Party. Such a pretty combination don't you think? I instantly thought cottage gardens and flower bouquets. However, when I sat down at my desk I changed my mind, and decided to not go down the pretty Floral pathway, instead opting for something with lots of angles. This was the result I really love these diamonds and wanted to make a few cards with the gorgeous die cuts as my focal point. The card front has been stamped with a splatter image from the sadly retired Gorgeous Grunge stamp set, in Powder Pink, Tranquil Tide, Pool Party and Black Momento inks. The Eclectic Thinlits were used to cut the diamonds from gold foil card. The backs of the diamonds were cut from the 3 different challenge colours and adhered to the gold foil with tombow. I used the sentiment from the Pocketful of Sunshine stamp set, heat embossed in white on black card. I then backed the sentiment with gold foil card and adhered to card front with tombow. The diamonds have been attached with dimensionals and a few gold sequins were added to finish it off. Quick, simple and easy to reproduce. Why not join us and play along with the challenge over at Just Add Ink its such a gorgeous colour combination and its really easy to enter. Also, dont forget to stop by and check out all the amazing creations the talented Design Team have provided for inspiration. Until next time, stay awesome

Hi, everyone, it’s time for another Color Throwdown Challenge! The lovely Vickie is our hostess this week and her colors are based on this adorable image. Of course my first thought was flowers but that was too easy, LOL! So I tried to think outside the box and decided that since these were jewel tones to go with jewels! I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base and added a piece of Black Licorice card stock on a wonky angle. Next I stamped Distressed Patterns on another piece of Sweet Tooth card stock and adhered it on foam mounting tape, also at a wonky angle. Next I cut Diamonds Die-namics from Ranger Watercolor paper, colored them with Peerless Watercolors, and added the overlay, cut from Gold Shine card stock, then popped them up on foam along with some gold silk thread The sentiment was stamped with Delicata Gold pigment ink on Black Licorice card stock and heat embossed with gold detail embossing powder and also popped up on foam. And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD389 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd389 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented April Guest Designer, Amy Rohl! Amy Rysavy Barbara Anders (

Zo leuk! To stay with the new products, I'd like to share a card with you today that I made with the stamps and the matching framelits from the Oh So Eclectic bundle. Just stunning this bundle is! To me the big checkered framelits made me buy this gorgeous set. So much fun! Prachtig! The base of this card is Whisper White Cardstock with Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock up front and then again a piece of Whisper White ofcourse. The last one I stamped and ran the checkered framelits with it through my Big Shot. Behind the pattern you can find a piece of design paper from the Perfect Days Memories & More Card Pack. Did you see already? This set also has embossing framelits. These are the leaves on this card that are pressed into the paper, but not cut out. Gorgeous! With the fun flowers and leaves on the front, I finished the card with Silver Metallic Thread and a few Rhinestones. I stamped the text with Versamark and embossed it with White Emboss Powder and a heat tool. I'd like to send this card in to the running challenge at TGIF Challenges. This weeks challenge is a color challenge containing the colors Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide. Thanks for visiting, see you next time!
