This stamp set was at the top of my wish list with the annual catalogue and I have had loads of fun cutting out all the leaves and flowers and playing with various ideas. I stuck with the colours based on the designer series paper - blushing bride, shaded spruce and granny apple green. I had a few left over flowers and leaves so I made this simple thank you card - quick and easy! First of all, I'm not much of a Medallion stamp set loving person. I mean they are pretty and all, but they just don't appeal much to me. I thought the same of the new Eastern Palace Suite, when Stampin Up released it early to demonstrators last month. That was...
Welcome to the Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop. You may have just arrived here from my beautiful friend Sarah Berry from the UK. If you are starting here please make sure you hit the next button at the bottom of this post and hop all the way around. The theme for this hop is 'Your Favourite Stamp Set'. Well with SOOOO MANY new favourites in the catalogue it was REALLY hard to cut it down to just one. However in my box of goodies that arrived this week, I would have to say that the Floral Statements was a stand out for me. It's simple and feminine and also bold and elegant. Ink it up, stamp, give it some colour and you've got a gorgeous card. The stamp does all the work! I will admit that the black does look a little wishy-washy, however I actually like it. I suggest using a Stamp-a-ma-jig to make the black more vivid. First I stamped the image using Archival Black Ink onto Shimmery White and used my trusty Aqua Painter to colour in the flowers and simply mounted onto some Crumb Cake Cardstock and then some Flirty Flamingo Cardstock. I am really happy with this stamp set and I will definately be using it again soon! Floral Statements Next up for you to 'Be Inspired' by is my amazingly talented, good looking friend Brain King from the the US. Welcome to my Blog, Today I want to share with you this set of cards size 4-1/4 X 5-1/2 made with the Stampin'Up Best Thoughts Hostess stamp set. I absolutely fell in love with this stamp set and the sentiments font style. I used the Shimmery White card stock and the aqua painters and used all the new 2015-2017 In Colors to Water color the images that I first stamped with Staz On jet black ink. This watercolor technique was demonstrated at one of the 2015 Stampin Up Conventions. I also embellished the cards using the new 1" Dotted Lace Trim that comes in all the new In colors as well, and I added some Basic Rhinestones and Pearls, the black and white piece is from the Neutrals Collections Card Stacks. I made the envelopes using the Stampin UP Envelope Punch Board and the New Envelope Paper also available in all the new 2015-2017 In colors. On the picture below I made the gift bag using the New Stampin Up Gift Bag Punch Board. The bag size is Medium and I used one sheet of 8-1/2 X 11, being the 8-1/2 in. the high of the bag. I added a piece of the new coordinating envelope paper to front panel and punched holes with my crop-a-dile to attach the new coordinating lace trim. I used the instructions provided at the Stampin Up Blog to create this bag in a different ways Click Here to see the different ways you can create with the Gift Bag Punch Board. I really love the way this bag turned out, it is so elegant and classy...and is ready to be packed with these delicious Mint Macarons I baked for first time so I apologize for they are not so perfect :) but they still taste so good, you have the crispiness on the outside and the chewy inside with the mint filling and you will end up savoring the rich almond flavor at the end... This is another idea to use the Best Thoughts stamp set. I colored the images with Bermuda Bay Ink color using same technique and paper I mentioned above. The Gift Bag was made with the New Stampin Up Gift Bag Punch Board, I used a piece of 12" X 10 " . Scored 2" on top of bag and folded it back to show the other side of paper, I punched the holes with my Crop-a-dile for the handles and used the stampin up whisper white satin ribbon. I glued a string of Bermuda Bay sequin around bag. The Flower was made using the New Cotton Paper Assortment in Bermuda Bay color I cut six flowers from Floral Frames Collection Framelits, I stacked all layers together and stapled the center in a cross way, then scrunched each layer up, it is very easy and it stays in place ! I hope you liked these ideas and get some inspiration to create your own gift sets. Thank you so much for visiting and Have a Wonderful Day! Here is the list of supplies I used for these projects: Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

I love this sketch over at the TGIF Challenge. Challenges are good if you are suffering from 'I don't know what to do' syndrome. In fact I find it really hard to do a card without doing a challenge. If you have the same problems, I strongly suggest giving a challenge a go. You will find a link to quite a few challenges on my blog. I used one of the new sets in our soon to be released Holiday catty and the sketch is just perfect for this set too. We have a fantastic blog hop for you today. Our theme this month is "Inspired by Nature" as we thought it would be a perfect start looking forward to our Thailand Trip. I am so happy to have been able to use these gorgeous stamp sets. The touches of texture stamp set I have used with Early Espresso on the Sahara Sand cardstock and I love it! The Birthday Blooms stamp set I stamped on the whisper white and cut it out so that there were layers of leaves and the gorgeous bloom. I watercolored just the leaves in Cucumber Crush and Garden Green. I love how part of the Early Espresso bled into the leaves too. The sentiment is from the Hostess Stamp set - Gift of Love. It is so elegant and perfect for the card I made. Plus it is Polymer and I LOVE sentiments that are polymer - just makes life so much easier. Hello, my stamping friend. I will be starting new series called CASE Monday. We all love to check Pinterest or our favorite stamping sites for ideas before creating. Or sometime you come across the idea and would like to stop everything and go make that card. This series will be just that - my favorite ideas from other crafters with some twist. Colorful Avant Garden idea came after watching Tami White's video. Tami is my upline and I love to follow her creations. After watching that video - I immediately dropped everything to try recreate cards in different colors. Here is my take on it: I just changed greeting stamp as I needed some Thank You cards and tried another color combos. This is original card using Peekaboo Peach and Calypso Coral: This one is Soft Sky and Marina Mist, I also used Pear Pizazz instead of Mint Macaroon for the leafs Crushed Curry and So Saffron: Sweet Sugarplum and Pretty in Pink: How Tos: Card front is 8.5 x 5.5 piece of cardstock scorred at 4 1/4 Whisper white - 4 x 5 1/4. Take a framelit that you will use for sentiment and lightly trace inside of it on the whisper white piece. This will give you idea where to stamp flowers and leaves Stamp flowers and leaves as desired. Adhere to cardfront Cut 2 leaves from copper foil with Botanical framlit. Adhere to the whisper white stamped piece. Stamp sentiment on a scrap of whisper white, cut with the ftamelit Add greeting with dimenstionals This is it! I suggest to do 2 cards each of the same color. You also have an option to use Mint Macaroon as a card front. What Color is your favorite? What other combinations you can think of? Leave me a comment and I will send you one of this cards. CLICK HERE Here is the card that I made using a stamp set I used in my Tutorial Bundle I love the new Oh So Eclectic bundle - it is so fun and fresh. I love the framelits - the geometric designs just got me right away! The cool sentiment is from the Great Big Greetings stamp set that Sean Douglass designed - Isn't that so cool. I embossed that in Whisper White Embossing powder. The flowers and leaves were cut using the Framelits with the matching paper in the suite called - Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper. I used Pool Party and Berry Burst as the background to the thinlits. You can see inside I have used my own mask that you will see below and sponged it with Berry Burst. I am loving creating my own masks and I am sure I will use that over and over. The new embossing paste is AMAZING. I will keep saying it - but if you haven't got it yet, you must get it and have a play. It is seriously so much fun. I created my own template from the Oh so eclectic framelits to make a mask. I used the Window sheets and cut it out as you can see below. CREATE YOUR OWN MASKS If you would like to follow my blog by email you can click HERE to make sure you don't miss one of my blog posts. Stampin' Up! Special Reason is fast becoming one of my favourite stamp sets and I've used it here for the Stampin' Up! Thailand Acheiver's Blog Hop. Wherever you've come from welcome and I hope you enjoy the hop as it's full of inspiration for the last few days of Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-bration promotion for 2017. I case'd (CASE - Copy and Share Everything) this beautiful card and added my own colours from my lovely downline Mandy. I'm not sure, but she may have case'd it too, but I'm sorry I don't have details to credit the creator. If you know please do let me know. It features the fabulous mint macaron glimmer paper that is still available in Europe at the moment as a free gift with qualifying spend. That's my bit of saleabration. Colours used are blushing bride, mint macaron, sweet sugarplum and whisper white. The embossing folder Petal Burst is now a free gift with purchase too! Today Stampin' Up! has also announced a few extra little treats available to everyone with a qualifying spend listing items from the annual and spring catalogue as the free gifts. You won't need any special reasons to purchase this bundle from Stampin' Up! It is fabulous, and creates fast and gorgeous cards in no time. The secret is to get the Bundle. I used the stamp set in a previous post and you could see how versatile it is, but this set of Framelits dies, called Stylish Stems is amazing. You can use it as I have on this card, creating beautiful negative shapes that are highlighted from behind by some patterned Designer Series Paper. In this case I used paper from the Falling In Love Paper set by Stampin' Up! You can find that on page 51 of the current Occasions Catalogue. Layers of interest are easily created using these framelits as you have solid outline shapes plus more delicate detailed shapes to play with. I used some Foam Adhesive Strips to lift the top layer from the Designer Series Paper. These strips are a little higher than our regular Dimensionals and are perfect for placing about 1 cm inside the edge of the card. And here is the finished card. Again I've used the lovely free ribbon from Sale A Bration to cover over the area where the leaves meet on top of the card base. You can still take advantage of the fabulous opportunity to join Stampin' Up! during Sale-A-Bration. But time is running out! You get all the benefits of being a member of the SU family plus during SAB you can choose 2 additional free stamp sets of your choice. Depending on your choice this can be well over $100 of stamps for free and that is in addition to all the heavily discounted items you choose for your Starter Kit. That means potentially over $400 worth for just $169. Do you like what you see and think you'd like to earn some extra income from stamping? If you are looking for a hobby, a part or full time job, working from home and at your own pace, AND you love craft, then you should consider doing what I do. It is fun and rewarding. See more information on my website or contact me with questions you may have.
