Petal Pink with Fragrant Flowers Fancy Fold Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. We are working though the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order, focussing on one colour each week. This week’s Blog Hop is focussing on a pale pink called Petal Pink. Petal Pink is part of the Subtles Colour Family and is a gorgeous colour. I know Petal Pink is not some of my colleagues favourite, however, I love this pink that is a bit peachy & muted. This colour is lovely when used for a range of flowers, baby cards, and the like. Petal Pink is produced in Stampin' Up!'s card-stock, both A4 & 12"x12"; Classic Stampin' inks (ink pads & re-inkers); Stampin' Write Markers; Stampin' Blends Combo; Subtles Designer Series Paper as well as Country Floral Lane, Country Gingham, Favored Flowers (Sale-a-bration), Regency Park, Delicate Desert, Dandy Designs, Abigail Rose, Tea Boutique, Pretty Prints, Design a Daydream Host, Sweet Talk (Clearance), Flowering Fields, Subtles DSPs; plus By the Bay, Texture Chic, Dry Brushed Metallic Speciality Designer Series Paper, Love Treats Kits, Enjoy the Adventure & Texture Chic Memories & More Cards & Envelopes; Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes, Enjoy the Adventure Memories & More card pack; Petal Pink Soft Polyester Ribbon, Cotton Ribbon Combo and Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots, Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins, Solid Faceted Gems, Elegant Faceted Gems, For Everything Fancy Sequins. Wow oh Wow, what a solid list demonstrating the colour's versatility. Petal Pink card-stock, ink, Stampin' Blends, Favored Flowers DSP and Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots have been used in this project plus a range of non-Petal Pink bits and pieces. Here is my card: I had a few ideas when starting out, but the card morphed into something quite different. However, water-colouring some flowers was an initial idea that eventuated. Just before starting work on this project I noticed a rose that had been knocked from one of my bushes - this inspired my flower colouring. I love the rose above with the beauty of the pale pinky orange with brighter pink edges plus. While my rose is different I water-coloured 2 floral arrangements from the Fragrant Flowers stamp set. They were stamped in Versamark ink on Shimmery White card-stock and heat embossed with Gold Emboss Powder and a Heat Tool. A number of the small flower & leaves were also gold heat embossed. All the images were coloured with Petal Pink, Melon Mambo, Soft Succulent & Evening Evergreen Inks. Some were coloured more strongly and others were more subtlety coloured. Once dry, the images were die cut with coordinating Dies from the Fragrant Flowers dies. A Basic White card-stock card front was die cut with a curvy Around the Bend dies. The die used also cuts out a curvy strip of holes - its gorgeous. A side B piece of the delightful Favoured Flowers Sale-a-bration DSP was used as the background panel that was adhered to a Thick Basic White card base. The white die cut card front was popped up on Dimensionals. The buds were fussy cut away and the darker water-coloured floral spray was cut apart so the flowers could be separated when rearranged. I ended up using only one darker flower. The floral arrangement was adhered in place with either Dimensionals or Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The Love for You dies were used to cut out some words in Gold Metallic Foil. Some Adhesive sheet was added to the back of the foil to make adhering the words in place so easy. Some White Glittered Organdy ribbon was coloured with the Light Petal Pink Blend before being cut into 3 pieces length-wise. Only 2 strips were used to tie a double bow. A strand of gold that had been retained from some deconstructed Gold Elegant Trim, was also tied into a bow. The bows were positioned with Glue Dots. Some Petal Pink Adhesive-backed Milky Dots were scattered around to finish the card front. The card inner is the fancy fold section. As the card opens the sentiment labels pop up to highlight the sentiment itself. It is called a Sliding Pop Up fold. The Something Fancy labels were used to die cut labels from Basic White card-stock and the same Favored Flowers DSP. I saw this fancy fold demonstrated by Susan Campfield. She is a demo in the United States so I needed to convert her dimensions to suit our A4 sizing. I created the fold without rewatching Susan's uTube so didn't create it perfectly. I needed to undo a couple of sections so will try this fold again to refine sizing and process. The card inner was also decorated with pieces of DSP mounted on some Gold Metallic foil. Some small water-coloured flowers were also added. A Basic White C6 envelope was stamped with the larger floral stamp using Petal Pink Classic Stampin' ink. I stamped on the front of the envelope and also on the back flap. I designed this card for a special friend's birthday, however, it could also be used for a Valentines Day card or a Friendaversary. Thank you so much for dropping in. I so appreciate it. There is more Petal Pink creativity. I’m sharing a few projects created by some of my very talented Stampin’ Up! team members with you all today. Not everything used on the projects is 100% current Stampin’ Up! items, but I hope that…
I signed up to do a Make & Take at our January Stamp Share. Instead of just doing one card, I came up with three notecards for everyone to make. I don't normally make notecards, so I wanted to use up what I had here. They were Whisper White, so they've been around for awhile! It's been a few years since we switched to Basic White. The day after our Stamp Share where we did these, Shannon West from Stampin' Up! called and asked me to present at an event in Alexandria. (You can read more about that event HERE) I sent her a picture of these cards and asked if they would be OK to show. She asked me how they could help other Demonstrators with their businesses, and I said they're samples of how to use Designer Series Paper. I told her I could make some templates to show how I cut the DSP for them. She said that would be perfect. So I ended up making more templates and samples for them so I had six to show at the event. I will share them all with you- here is the first one: Template #1 - 1 x 5 1/2" strips. 24 per 12x12 sheet. Make sure you watch the direction of the design! You can also use the 1 x 12" strip on the side if it works with the design of the paper. BEAUTIFULLY HAPPY PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET (ENGLISH) $0.00 DANDY DESIGNS 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER $0.00 STYLISH SHAPES DIES $30.00 LAYERING CIRCLES DIES $35.00 BASIC WHITE NOTE CARDS & ENVELOPES $7.00 Add All to Cart Generated by SUDSOL, Free Trial at www.sudsol.org Colors: Basic Black, Basic White, Calypso Coral, Cherry Cobbler (flower center), Granny Apple Green Because this is a notecard, I cut the strip of DSP to 5". I love this stamp set! You can get it FREE with a $100 order during Sale-A-Bration! But hurry...Sale-A-Bration ends February 28th!

Happy Friday friends! Just Add Ink have a brand new challenge and Kelly has suggested for this one we add "Lines" to our projects...This is a very simple and fun one! I'd just received my lovely new "Delivering Cheer" stamp set and decided it was perfect for inking and colouring on this one. I've used a combination of Stampin Blends in Ivory & bronze (skintone) and Flirty flamingo-Fresh Freesia-Mint Macaron-Evening Evergreen for the parcels and dress and layered it on a diecut from the Layering Hugs dies. The dsp is from the Hand-Penned dsp and l've added a couple of Be Dazzling hearts for some sparkle. The "Hugs" is diecut from the Layering Hugs dies also and coloured with Evening Evergreen & Soft Succulent Stampin Blends. The design team have some lovely "Line" projects to share, so make sure you click the link above and pop over for a peek at those! Thanks for stopping by! All supplies used are Stampin Up!
Hello there stamping friends! Happy Friday! Welcome and thanks for joining me on my blog today. Today we over at Just Add Ink we have a shiny challenge for you today with - Just Add Ink #700 | Just Add Shimmer or Shine, suggested this week by me! I do like most things sparkly and shiny so this challenge is so fitting. Most of my cards have some sort of shiny or shimmery element, whether it be pearls, rhinestones, gold embossing, sequins, metallic paper. Today for my card I've used the new Stampin' Up! 2024 - 2026 In Color Glimmer Paper to create a shimmery, striped background. I've used all of the 5 In Colors for the background. I just love how all 5 of the colours go so well together. They look fabulous here in my striped background. I cut the Glimmer Paper at 1/2cm and the Basic White at 1cm and then adhered them on so me Basic White cardstock. Look how sparkly the glimmer paper is! It really is stunning! I've combined my striped background with a circle from the Stylish Shapes dies and the used gold embossing powder to heat emboss the large image from the Layers of Beauty stamp set on the now retired Vellum (sad). The Happy Birthday is from the Coutry Birdhouse stamp set and then I've finished the card off with a ruffle using some Summer Splash Bordered Ribbon, a piece of Linen Thread, and some In Color Shimmer Gems. It is quite a simple card but with the shimmery elements of the Glimmer Paper you don't need much else on the card so the glimmer paper can 'shine'. Go and check out the JAI design teams shimmery creations at the Just Add Ink Blog and then come and join in this week's shiny fun! I can't wait to see what you create. Hello, hello, hello! Happy Friday! Welcome and thank you for joining me on my blog today. I've just had a very well deserved and much needed Christmas Break with my family and some time away camping in our caravan. Lots of fun in the sun, stand up paddle boarding, swimming in the lake, swimming at the beach, boating, knee-boarding, 4WD, reading a few books and lots of all-round summer fun! Was so good to be away in the great outdoors of Australia. Gosh I love summer! Back to reality now. Over at Just Add Ink, to kick off the first challenge for the year we are commencing 2024 with a blog hop to go with the new challenge. Our theme for this hop and the challenge is Just Add In #685 | Just Add Flowers. This is such a fabulous theme to kick start the Just Add Ink year! Every one loves flowers, well nearly everyone. I'm a bit of a sucker for a floral stamp and the new Enduring Beauty Bundle with coordinating masks in the Stampin' Up! 2024 Jan - April Mini Catalogue caught my attention at first glance. Super pretty right? I've used the stamp and masks on Crumb Cake cardstock today for a different look. I do love colouring images on Crumb Cake cardstock as I love how the colours of the ink look different as opposed to using Basic White cardstock. All three cards that I've made for you today are all the same except for the colour combinations to colour the flowers. What's your favourite? I do love them all, of course, but the purple one is really standing out to me as my favourite. Colours used Flowers - Bubble Bath, Flirty Flamingo and Berry Burst Leaves - Old Olive and Mossy Meadow Colours used Flowers - Lemon Lolly and Daffodil Delight Leaves - Old Olive and Mossy Meadow Colours Used Flowers - Fresh Fresia and Highland Heather Leaves - Old Olive and Mossy Meadow To create the cards I stamped the floral image on with Versamark ink and then used Black embossing powder for the image outline. Then over the floral image I layered over the Enduring Beauty Decorative Masks to layer on the colour using Blending Brushes. Each mask has detailed floral designs that add depth and colour to your paper crafting projects. Use one mask alone to add a subtle accent. Or you can layer them to create a rich floral image of your own design. The masks definitely make colouring an image so quick and easy thats for sure. I used three colours on the 'pink' card only due to the fact that I thought the Bubble Bath was too light against the Berry Burst so I went in again over the Bubble Bath with Flirty Flamingo to achieve a better contrast. All cards were finished off with a drawn border, Crumb Cake Splatters, Linen Thread, a Happy Birthday sentiment and some embellishments. What colours do you think would work together when using the Enduring Beauty masks? Next up on the blog hop is fabulous Nikki Spencer with her amazing creation. Make sure you click your way around to everyone on the hop as there are lots of gorgeous creations and lots of different takes on our 'Just Add Flowers' theme 1.Kerry Parkinson 2. Kim Badelt 3. Jan McQueen 4. Di Barnes 5. Rochelle Blok - You are here 6. Nikki Spencer 7. Joanne Stubbings 8. Narelle Farrugia 9. Annie Alexander 10. Tina Gillespie 11. Lou Kitzelman 12. Chantell Randall 13. I was SO pleasantly surprised at how beautiful these cards turned out... as I mentioned on Friday morning on my FB post, I don't often 'craft on the fly live' without having tried out the idea first, but I created these cards on my Friday live without knowing how they'd turn out! Did you watch it? I took the Encircled in Nature card idea from yesterday's post and included the Unbounded Beauty designer paper and I truly think I like these cards even better than yesterday's cards!
