I have a few family members who are keen fishers, so I am always happy to see a fishing related stamp set. We have a lake nearby, so this sentiment was also very fitting for the recipient of this card. I created a bit of a lake scene, and got what I thought was a brilliant idea for waves on the lake made using a die from the Cups & Kettles framelits die set. Both the bear & the fish were stamped on watercolour paper and watercoloured using the aquapainter and ink from the inkpads. The fish was done with very diluted Night Of Navy ink, and the light areas on the bear are Tip Top Taupe, with Early Espresso for the darker areas. Hello and welcome, It's time for another Colour INKspiration Challenge #83 and this gorgeous picture was chosen by Colour INKspiration Crew Member Nikki Spencer. As well as the chosen colour combination for #CI83 are Bumblebee, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White and Basic Black, you may also include Crumb Cake and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all of the colour palette, feel free to use the closest Stampin' Up! substitute (ie: Crushed Curry instead of Bumblebee you.. get the drift). We hope you can participate this round and we look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is NEW and specifically for this challenge. #CI83 will run for almost TWO weeks and will end at 7pm (AEST) on Monday August 24th. For my card I've used the Forever Fern Bundle and including those gorgeous Gold Hoop Embellishments. I'm just loving those Hoops so much! I've also used the medium Daisy Punch, punched out three times in Whisper White Cardstock, sponged Bumblebee Ink with a Sponge Dauber and added tiny dots for the center of the Daisy using the Stampin' Write Marker. The challenge colours for the foliage remind me of the Australian Native Bush, like the Australian Wattle Tree. I've added one of the wooden leaves from the In Good Taste Elements. Giving the card a natural earthy look about it. Before layering all of the elements to the card, I've placed the panel of Whisper White Cardstock to the panel of Basic Black Cardstock and then adding the Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon to the two panels. Once everything was added, I've used thick Whisper White Cardstock for the card base. The sentiment is from the Best Year Stamp Set which is from the Annual Stampin' Up! 2020 - 2021 Catalogue and can be found on page 133. I really love the two different fonts in the text. Well I hope I've inspired you to come and join in on the #CI83 challenge. Here's the link to our Colour INKspiration Challenges Facebook Group. Not a member? All you need to do is answer the three questions and we will accept you into the group. Hope to see you there. Happy Crafting Vicki Boucher

Pebbled Path with Earthen Textures Fancy Fold Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. We are working though the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order, focussing on one colour each week, however, we are starting the Stampin’ Up! year with the new colours, focussing on the 2023-2025 In Colours first. This week’s Blog Hop is focussing on an earthy grey called Pebbled Path. Pebbled Path is part of the new 2023-2025 In Colour Family and is a warm mid-to-deep grey. This colour would be a lovely neutral when used for earthen pots and would be brilliant to use instead of black for sentiments. As with the other new colours, I am exploring coordinating colours but I think it work’s well with terracotta and yellows (as used in the card below). Pebbled Path is produced in Stampin' Up!'s card-stock, both A4 & 12"x12"; Classic Stampin' inks (ink pads & re-inkers); Stampin' Write Marker; Stampin' Blends Combo; In Color Designer Series Paper as well as Fresh As A Daisy, Earthen Elegance, Let’s Go Fishing DSPs; plus In Color Luster Speciality Paper, Treat Bags & Grid Paper, In Color Textured Ribbon & Jute Trim; and In Color Dots. Pebbled Path card-stock, ink, Earthen Elegance DSP and 2023-2025 In Color Dots have been used in the creation of this project plus a range of non-Pebbled Path bits and pieces. My card today has used Pebbled Path in a number of ways and also features the Earthen Textures bundle, a new bundle from the recently released Stampin’ Up! 2023-2024 Annual Catalogue. I also created this week’s project as a fun fold. A big “Thank You” to Emma Goddard, an amazing UK Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, for the inspiration of this fancy fold. Recently, I saw Emma demonstrate this fun fold as part of The Crafty Carrot’s May series #thecraftycarrotco . I wanted to create something special as a male friend is having a birthday this coming Friday. I hope he likes it. The card base was cut, scored and burnished using Thick Very Vanilla card-stock. Two mid-sized Deckled Rectangles cut the apertures from the card base pieces. A background for the inner section was created with Pebbled Path Classic Stampin’ Ink, the large flat Water Painter and Fluid 100 Watercolor paper. Ink was added at the top of the panel and it was allowed to dribble down the panel. Once dry, it was turned up-side-down so the darker area was at the bottom and the lighter section at the top. It was splattered with mid-sized Water Painter and White Craft ink as well as a Pebbled Path Stampin’ Write Marker. A series of pots were cut out from the Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper using the Earthen Textures dies. Foliage pieces were die cut from Fluid 100 Watercolor paper plus design die cut pieces to add to pots. The smaller spiky foliage was die cut from Distressed Gold Speciality paper. Two of the leaf shapes were water-coloured with Crushed Curry ink and the bigger leaf also had some Calypso Coral ink. Some of the design pieces for pots were coloured with Pebbled Path ink, while one was left uncoloured. Feathery leaves were stamped in Wild Wheat ink and fussy cut and twiggy foliage were stamped in Pebbled Path ink and fussy cut. I fussy cut these out as I wanted the pieces cut closer to the stamped images than the dies would cut. A larger pot was stamped in Pebble Path ink and die cut out. All the die cut pots had some shading added to one side and the base using Pebbled Path ink with a Mini Blending Brush. The pots, water-coloured leaves and stamped foliage were arranged. Before adhering them in place, the background piece was stamped with the feathery foliage in Wild Wheat and stamped again and again - ie second & third generation stamping. Everything was adhered in place using either Dimensionals, Multi-purpose Liquid Glue and Glue Dots. A belly band was created in Pebbled Path card-stock and a strip of the Pebbled Path DSP design was wrapped around the belly band with a strip of Distressed Gold Speciality paper. The larger deckled rectangle, which had been cut out from an inner layer, was used as the label base for the card front design piece. A couple of pots and a number of leaves were arranged using a mix of Dimensionals, Multi-purpose Liquid Glue and Glue Dots. A sentiment from the Earthen Textures stamp set was white heat embossed with Versamark ink, White Emboss powder and a Heat Tool. The sentiment was cut into 3 and added with Dimensionals. A few Pebbled Path 2023-2025 In Color Dots gave a little shine. Some extra Dots also were added inside the card. I decided to create a panel for my personal message on the inner left hand side of the card using another tall pot and some foliage. I was hoping to create a sense of an atrium of pots and foliage with the fancy fold layered scene on the inside. What do you think??? I had fun creating this card with one of my friends in mind. I hope he likes it. Must admit I was a touch nervous while I was creating it as he taught tertiary art before he retired. Thank you so much for calling in. I so appreciate you spending time with me. There is more Pebbled Path creativity, so do continue with the blog hop. Just click the "next" graphic below to be taken to the blog of the lovely Christina Barnes. I am looking forward to checking out Christina’s creation(s). I do love seeing everyones' projects - there is always so much inspiration and ideas. I hope to see you next week when we will be featuring Wild Wheat, another of the new In Colour family, as we continue the weekly 2023-2024 Colour Creations Blog Hop series. Hello and welcome Tonight I'll be sharing with you Week 2 of Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team in Australia. Each week there will be a Colour Creations blog hop showcasing Stampin' Up! Colors with a selection of members from the Art With Heart Team who will be joining in. I'm looking forward to seeing their beautiful projects using the Stampin' Up! Colors. You'll be able to hop around by clicking on the next link at the end of my blog. The colour for tonight is Balmy Blue which is part of the Subtles Collection and comes in a number of different mediums such as Ink, Cardstock, Stampin' Blends, DSP etc.... I've used Balmy Blue with Crumb Cake and Real Red for my handmade card. I just couldn't resist using the Count on Me Stamp Set again, last week I used it for Week 1 for the In Colors Blog Hop. Today's card is a vintage feel with lots of layers which I love to create these types of cards. The cute bear is a watercolour using Crumb Cake Ink and fussy cut out. I've layered him onto the Basic White Tailor Made Tag and added Balmy Blue Ink with the Blending Brush. The You're a Peach Designer Series Paper is so beautiful, my favourite is the Balmy Blue striped side onto Basic White DSP. I actually torn the side of the DSP and used some of the other side and placed it under the tag. The other panel is Basic White Cardstock adding Balmy Blue Ink with the Blending Brush and embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I also ruffed up the edges with the Paper Snips. The sentiment is from the Create With Friends Stamp Set, I love all of the words and the font in this set. You can create so many different greetings for your paper craft. I've used Real red and Balmy Blue. The Forever fits nicely in the smaller tag. The tiny Real Red hearts are from the Floral Heart Dies. How cute is the one on the bears backside? Now it's time to hop along and visit the lovely Michele Taylor to see her project please click on the link below. The list of participants are listed below. Hello there stamping friends! I hope that you are having a fantastic week and a fabulous day! It's Friday, Yay, and that means it's time for another Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add Ink #694 | Colour Challenge. This week we have a fun colour combo for you using Fresh Freesia, Pretty Peacock and Cajun Craze. We just happen to be using my least favourite Stampin' Up! Colour - Cajun Craze. I know we've all got a colour that we strongly dislike, well mine is Cajun Craze. What is yours? I think I'm still on my first pack of Cajun Craze cardstock and I've been a Stampin' Up! demo for over 10 years! I've made a Fun Fold card for you today that I saw on fellow JAI DT Member Di Barnes blog and also Linda Dalke's Instagram a long time ago and have been wating to make it for ages. I'm not sure what this Fun Fold is actually called but I'm going to call it the Wing Fold as you'll see in my other photos why I've called it that. I've used a Basic White base for the card and then layered Fresh Freesia cardstock and the DSP from the Perennial Lavender DSP. Over the DSP I flicked the Pretty Peacock Stampin' Write marker for some inky splatters and then using a Blending Brush added a little Pretty Peacock Ink around the DSP edges for a little layered depth. It's hard to see the blended ink edges here in the photo but I assure you I did do it. I've decorated the front with some layered circles, using Vellum, Fresh Freesia and Basic White. Two of the circle die cuts come from the New Spotlight on Nature Bundle from the new 2024 - 2025 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue that SU demonstrators can pre order from on 2nd April 2024 and SU customers can purchase from 1st May 2024. It's an amazing catalogue with lots of amazing products! I love it! I've then used products from the Perennial Lavender Suite to finish layering and embellishing my 'Wing' Fun Fold card. Once the 'wings' unfold open then there is a panel inside where you can write your message, or if you want you can decorate this panel as well and then use the panel on the back to write your message. Here on the inside I've used the same DSP and cardstock for some more layering and then added some stamping and some Baker's Twine. I do hope that you like my take on this week's challenge colours. I actually liked the addition of Cajun Craze in this colour combo but you probably won't see me use it much more than this. It's still not my favourite. Ha! Go and check out the design teams take on this week's colours at the Just Add Ink Blog for some inspiration and then come and join in this week's sketch fun! I can't wait to see what you create.
