Shop Stampin' Up! Here Hi Friends! My project today is a Square Box that measures 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 1 1/4". It will fit 2 Peppermint Patties, 2 Reeses Peanut Butter Cups and Hershey Kisses. I used Count on Me stamp set, Layering Circle dies and Abstract Beauty Designer Series Paper. You can watch my Video Tutorial Here! I started with a piece of Balmy Blue Cardstock sized 8 x 7 1/2". I scored the 8" side at: 1 1/4, 3 3/4, 5 and 7 1/2". I scored the 7 1/2" side at: 1 1/4, 3 3/4 and 5". To cut and put the box together you can watch my Video Tutorial Here. Below is a picture of how your Cardstock should look after scoring, cutting and rounding the corners of the flap with the Detail Trio Punch. I attached several pieces of Abstract Beauty Designer Series Paper to the box. (4) 2 1/4 x 2 1/4" for the inside and outside of the flap and front and back of the box. (4) 2 1/4 x 1" for the sides. I attached the DSP to the box with Liquid Glue. I put my goodies inside the box and tied a doubled piece of Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon around the side of the box. I tied a bow on the right side. I stamped the Kangaroo image, from Count on Me stamp set, onto Basic White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Ink. I cut the top of the image out with a 1 5/8" circle from the Layering Circle dies. I colored the image with Stampin' Blends. Light and Dark Crumb Cake for the Kangaroo Body. Light and Dark So Saffron for the Flower. Light Smokey Slate for the Nose. Light Flirty Flamingo for the Inner Ears. Light Old Olive for the Leaf. I cut a Scalloped Circle, 1 3/4", from So Saffron Cardstock and a Balmy Blue circle, 1 7/8", using the Layering Circle dies. I attached the Image circle to the Scalloped circle and then both to the Balmy Blue Circle with Liquid Glue. I added Wink of Stella Glitter to the Flower and for the final touch I added Yellow Matte Decorative Dots around the Kangaroo. You can shop for your Stampin' Up! supplies with Me here. Calypso Coral with Count on Me, Perched in a Tree & Country Wreaths Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. We are working though the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order. This week’s Blog Hop is focussing on a pinky orange called Calypso Coral. Calypso Coral is part of the Subtles Colour Family and is a beautiful soft orange with a bit of oomph. This colour is lovely when used with Petal Pink or yellows, oranges or pinks. Calypso Coral is produced in Stampin' Up!'s card-stock, both A4 & 12"x12"; Classic Stampin' inks (ink pads & re-inkers); Stampin' Write Markers; Water-colour Pencils; Stampin' Blends; Subtles Designer Series Paper as well as Gingham Cottage, Storybook Gnomes, Butterfly Kisses, Awash in Beauty, Happy Forest Friends, Pretty Prints and Painted Christmas DSPs; plus Splendid Day SDSP and Fine Sparkle Adhesive Backed Gems & Fun Floral Resin Shapes; and Today is the Day Memories & More Card Pack. My card uses Calypso Coral Classic Stampin' ink and card-stock as well as other non CC bits and pieces. To create this project I have used 2 different bundles and a 3rd stamp set. I want to acknowledge Cindy Schuster from The Crafty Carrot Collective for the inspiration for my card. Cindy created a card in a Crafty Carrot's tutorial this past week featuring the Aspen Trees dies. I have CASEd her design but used water-colouring rather than Stampin' Blends for most of the colouring, as well as different stamps and other dies. As I watched Cindy create, the seeds were sewn for this card to come into being. Thank you Cindy. A piece of Shimmery White card-stock was cut using the oval tree die from the Aspen Tree dies. It is amazing - I love it. The trees were water-coloured with Gray Granite Classic ink and a medium Water Painter. As I walked this morning I was checking out nearby gum trees and noticed they were a really light browny grey with some darker patches. This has influenced my water-colouring of the trees. Fluid 100 Watercolor paper was used for the water-coloured background with Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Pumpkin Pie and Melon Mambo Classic inks and a wide-brush Water Painter. I had a summer sunset in mind. Once dry, the die cut panel was added to the background panel with Dimensionals. I love the depth this creates. The koalas stamp from the Count on Me stamp set was stamped in Black Momento ink and coloured with Blends, ie Smoky Slate combo, SU700 and my trusty Colour Lifter. The koalas were fussy cut. An off-cut of Fluid 100 Watercolor paper was coloured with Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz Classic inks. Once dry, tiny leaf dies from the Country Wreaths die set cut a series of leaves. Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla twine from the Basic Twine Pack were wrapped around the front panel and then tied in a bow. A sentiment from Perched in a Tree stamp set was white heat embossed on Calypso Coral card-stock using Versamark ink, White Emboss Powder and a Heat Gun. The sentiment was cut out and added with Mini Dimensionals and Tombow Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue. Some gorgeous Iridescent Basic Rhinestone Jewels added that touch of glimmer and I couldn't resist adding more shimmer with a splatter of Wink of Stella. The little koalas were stamped off and stamped in the centre of a Basic White card-stock inner and left over die cut leaves were scattered around. A C6 Basic White envelope was stamped with a branch from the Perched in a Tree set and a koala. A little leaf was added as well. Thank you so much for dropping by. I do value the time you spent here. There is more Calypso Coral creativity. To continue with the blog hop, click on the "next" graphic below to be taken to the blog of a special lady, Kate Morgan. I always look forward to checking out Kate's creation (I wonder what she has in store this week). I do love seeing everyones' projects - always so much inspiration. Hope to see you next week when we will be featuring Cherry Cobbler as we continue the weekly 2022-2023 Colour Creations blog hops. Also, many of us are joining a Heart of Christmas Blog Hop on Monday evenings which will continuing until the end of November. Hello and welcome Tonight I'll be sharing with you Week 3 of Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team in Australia. Each week there will be a Colour Creations blog hop showcasing Stampin' Up! Colors with a selection of members from the Art With Heart Team who will be joining in. I'm looking forward to seeing their beautiful projects using the Stampin' Up! Colors. You'll be able to hop around by clicking on the next link at the end of my blog. The colour for tonight is Basic Gray which is part of the Neutrals Collection and comes in a number of different mediums such as Ink, Cardstock, DSP etc.... I've used Basic Gray with Blushing Bride and Basic White for my handmade card. I just couldn't resist in using the koala stamp from the Count On Me Stamp Set, I used the fine Water Painter and Water Color Paper using Basic Gray and Blushing Bride Ink. This was the base for my card and I went through my stash of DSP to use up scraps in the same shades of colours. I love to create lots of layers with the different types of papers/DSP here I've used strips of In Good Taste and Handed Penned 12" x 12" DSP plus Basic White Cardstock for the dies. It's a good way to use up those unwanted strips for your paper craft. The Forever Flourishing Dies was used adding Ink with the Blending Brush using Basic Gray and Blushing Bride Ink to the images. I've layered two of the tags from the Tailor Made Tags Dies. The largest using the Basic Gray sheet from In Good Taste DSP and a smaller one in Basic White Cardstock, adding Basic Gray Ink and embossed it using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I've added pink and white Snail Mail Baker's Twine to the tags. The two koalas look so cute sitting behind the pink sponged leaf die and I've adhered to the tag using Stampin' Dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Biggest Whish Stamp Set and heat set with Versmark Ink, White Stampin' Emboss Powder and Heat Tool. The card base and panel is in Basic Gray Cardstock. Now it's time to hop along and visit the lovely Andrea Sargent to see her project please click on the link below. The list of participants are listed below. Todays post is a very special one. Recently one of my family members suffered a big heart attack and survived! Thankfully he’s on a good recovery plan with lots of support. They wanted to say thank you to the amazing medical people involved so I created these cards. I love them all. Some of the dies (thank you) are retired but you could easily create any verse with the latest alphabet dies. To accompany the cards my sister suggested I make some cookies to match. She knows me so well! So the whole family jumped on a video call and watched me make the cookies. It was very fun and felt very comforting to have everyone in the same room … even if only ion video. For the cards I embossed the first 2 backgrounds with my new favourite emboss folder called TASTEFUL TEXTILE. The cute kangaroo is from Count on Me. I used a cool trick for the thank you - cut multiple of the same die, layer them together slightly off centre to create a shadow effect. For the nurses card - I used the new zigzag die from Basic Borders Dies to create a heart beat signal. For the sentiment I combined 2 stamps from Plentiful Plants - can you tell which ones? The nurses hat is made from a label die out of Garage Gear (retired) For the last card I mainly used circle died to create rings and cut them to shape the stethoscope - easy - only a touch fiddly to glue down! Such a great colour combination! Here’s my cookie sesh… These took hours! But it was so rewarding and they looked amazing! Ready to be delivered! If you liked today's post please share your favourite pictures to your Pinterest boards! Thanks so much for stopping by and hopefully I have inspired your creativity. Yay for Friday! This stamp set doesn't get very much attention and it's such a cute set! The Count on Me Stamps from Stampin' Up! is going to be used a bit more often! I created this card with floating panels for the Inspire.Create.Challenge #123 - Sketch Challenge. And here's the card I created: I thought the soft colors of Splendid Day DSP would fit well with these two cute little koalas. The card base is Soft Sea Foam. For the first layer I used the Painted Textures 3D Embossing Folder. It's hard to see, but I did use a window sheet that the three strips of DSP are adhered onto, then the window sheet was adhered onto the card with dimensionals for a "floating" effect. The cute koalas were colored with Gray Granite and Petal Pink Stampin' Blends and adhered with dimensionals. Festive Pearls were added on the floating panel. DSP is also on the envelope flap. I knotted a piece of Metallic Mesh Ribbon and added it on the left of the floating piece. The sentiment is from the True Beauty Stamp set and Rectangle Stitched Dies was used around the sentiment. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today. I hope you enjoyed my card. There's less than two weeks for my AUGUST INCENTIVES and Sale-A-Bration items! Order "The Best Remedy Kit" here. Order "All is Cozy & Bright Kit" here. Here are a few ideas to hopefully spark your interest and purchase the "All is Cozy & Bright" kit: As well as creating the cards as suggested in the kit, I also went rogue and created a few alternates. Since I love the Gnomes so much, I decided to add this cute girl and her Gnome house on one of the cards. I cut the front of the card to mat onto Poppy Parade cardstock. I colored the images with coordinating colors from the kit. The envelope flap was embossed using the Wintry 3D Embossing Folder. The background for this card is PERFECT for this cute little bird! I adhered the branch and bird, as well as the sentiment, with dimensionals. I added some Linen Thread behind the sentiment. A koala... why not? He looks so cute on this card background! I layered the gold ribbon behind the image and adhered with dimensionals. Here's another option for the bird. I cut the card front to fit the Poppy Parade cardstock base and then cut it in half. And my final card was created pretty much the same as the card above by cutting the front of the card in half and adhering onto Poppy Parade cardstock. The bottom portion of the Poppy Parade was embossed with the Wintry 3D embossing folder. Then I created the card the same as in the kit, adding the orange slices, flowers and cinnamon sticks. Mmmmm, can't you just smell all those lovely smells at Christmastime? Did I entice you to purchase this kit? Not only are you creating beautiful cards, but you are getting a headstart on Christmas cards! Why not buy TWO kits? The more cards, the merrier! Order "All is Cozy & Bright Kit" here.
