The Give it a Whirl die set is a fun way to create changing images on a card, but it can also be used to create motion. This week in my Course, I’m showing 2 different ways to make this idea take flight! We’re using the beautiful Dandy Garden paper, which is about to retire, so grab it before it flies away! To learn to make this card, purchase access to the course for $15 by clicking here. Better yet, you can receive the course for free if you are a member of my team or if you purchase the die s

Hello and welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop for April! Each month a group of creative friends create a project for a theme. Below is an image of all of the crew and where they are from around the globe. Such a talented, friendly and wonderful group of people. Last month I attended OnStage a Stampin' Up!® Event held in Melbourne. I loved catching up with a few of the Around the World on Wednesday Team Members whilst there. Below is a picture of Melissa Gifford, Cheryll Miller, Rochelle Laird-Smith and myself. These beautiful ladies are so talented and I love that we know each other through this amazing design team. This year is going so quick! I can't believe we are in April already. The weather here in Australia finally cooling. We had a severe rainfall here last weekend and there were many roads cut by flooding or small landslides on the mountains that border my home town. It was the perfect opportunity to spend some time in the craft room being creative with my dog at my feet "helping". This months challenge, This or That, had me thinking for a while. I felt I should create a simple card and then step it up, but then, I decided to make two cards with a similar layout and the same products. I chose to create my cards using new product that I chose to purchase for OnStage in Melbourne for the After Hours classes. Something new and so much fun to attend on top of the OnStage Event. The new bundle I chose is the Spotlight on Nature Bundle. The delicate images and gorgeous Dies won me over instantly. These cards are something that I imagined creating with the Bundle as soon as I saw it. Soft colours and the divine die cut circles at the centre of my card. For my first card I decided to layer the beautiful circle die cuts and sit the fussy cut stamped and coloured images on top. The circle dies are adhered together with Dimensionals and I also used Dimensionals to add to the mat layer. I have stamped the two fussy cut images in the new Basic Beige ink before colouring in with Petal Pink and Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends. For the background layer I stamped the Sketched Plaid stamp in Basic White ink on Soft Sea Foam card stock and glued that to a mat layer before adhering to the Soft Sea Foam card base. I placed three of the Petal Pink Foiled Gems around the die cut pieces on the circle diecut. On a piece of Soft Sea Foam card stock I stamped the sentient in Soft Sea Foam ink before cutting it out with paper snips. I tied some Linen Thread in a bow and adhered it to the bottom of the sentiment piece before adhering the sentiment with Dimensionals. For my second card I wanted to use the beautiful new neutral Basic Beige for my card base. I felt it would go well with the softness of Petal Pink and Soft Sea Foam. I decided to make a simpler and quicker version of the card above. The Sketched Plaid stamp was inked in Basic Beige and stamped on a Basic Beige mat layer. Then glued to the card base. I stamped the floral image on a piece of basic white card stock in Basic Beige ink before die cutting it with a circle die and colouring with Petal Pink and Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends. I stamped the sentiment in Soft Sea Foam ink on the top right hand side of the floral image. I adhered three of the Petal Pink Foiled Gems around the stamped images. Before adhering to the card base using Dimensionals I cut a 10cm length of the new Petal Pink Diagonal Trim and adhered it to the centre of the card front underneath where the circle die layer went. Up next on this months hop is the wonderfully talented Rochelle Laird- Smith. Click on the next blog button below to head to her post. I hope to have inspired you to create two projects with some similarities as I have here. I was fun creating the one with more layers first then pairing it back for the second card.

Today is the first day that the new 2024-25 Annual Catalog goes live! And I've got a super fun card to share featuring a few of the new products: the Spotlight On Nature Dies, the Under The Moon
#1 Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrator Pootles - Iconic Dies - Toadstool Card Idea You will be totally forgiven if you missed that we have some 'stand alone'
I love playing with new products - and Stampin' Up!'s 2024 Annual Catalog gives us SO MANY great, new things to play with. As soon as my Spotlight on Nature Dies arrived, I opened them, ooh'd and aah'd at them and then pealed them off their backings to begin cutting.
Hi everyone, Here’s a fairly simple card using mostly dies. It’s great when you can use different sets to achieve a great card. The tree and birds were cut with the Beautiful Trees Dies (#155840). I used the Beauty Of The Earth Designer Series Paper (#155841) for the tree and Cherry Cobbler card (#121681) for the birds. To make it easy to adhere the tree I used the Adhesive Sheets (#152334) on the back of DSP before cutting. The tree was adhered to another piece of the Beauty Of The Earth DSP. I had stamped the birds from the On The Horizon stamp set (#157770) using Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) onto the green DSP. The fence and grass were cut with Horizon Dies (157778). I used Very Vanilla card (#106550) for the fence and Mossy Meadow card (#133683) for the grass. The fence, grass and birds were all attached to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). I also cut the grass so it wasn’t the full length so it fitted on the card the way I wanted it. “Happy Birthday” from Blossoms In Bloom stamp set (#158283) was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink (#147083). I cut this with a die from the Bouquet Of Love (#157641). These dies are part of the Bouquet Of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder. Stampin Dimensionals (#104430) were used to attach the sentiment to the card. Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) was used on the birds for a bit of sparkle. TIP: When using Dimensionals on both the fence and the grass, ensure you only put Dimensionals on the grass where the pieces don’t overlap. “Love what you do and share what you love.” lesleyjendra.stampinup.net [email protected]
I couldn't sleep yesterday morning, so I got up in the wee hours and went down to my craft room and stamped.....using the Artistically Inked stamp set. This is just a clean and simple ink to paper, two layers with some masking card. I included a scattering of gems from this suite's ephemera pack, but overall the card is pretty simple. The colours I've used for the flowers are Pale Papaya/Pumpkin Pie, Magenta Madness/Melon Mambo and Fresh Freesia/Highland Heather. Pear Pizzazz was used for the leaves and Basic Black for the greeting. The second card I created in the wee hours of the morning used the fabulous Expressions In Ink Specialty Paper. I love this pack of paper so I let the paper do all the work for this card except for the die cut leaf sprig and some gold metallic pearls. I didn't even want to add a label for the greeting. Easy Peasy! I've been working in my yard and relaxing on the deck these past few days - when no creating was going on - because of the good weather. We've taken a turn though and it rained all night, which was nice because everything is so dry! We're suppose to get some snow tonight and that's not so welcome! But that's May in Alberta! I'll just huddle in my craft room and use some more of my new products. I've got a BOGO sale going on with my retired Stampin'Up! products. It's all laid out in a newsletter, so if you are interested in receiving a copy of my newsletter to get ahold of some retired products just let me know my e-mail and I will forward a copy to you. You can reach me at [email protected] That's it for today, Stay warm, stay dry, stay safe! Joan

This isn't your run-of-the-mill greeting card, it elevates the concept of gifting, making it a "timeless" keepsake (see what I did there?). Imagine if you could capture moments like sands through an hourglass ⏳? The Stampin Up Time Together Bundle makes this possible in paper crafts. This card was made with special touches like a Window Sheet that mimics real glass, complemented by Distressed Gold Specialty paper.I've got a short video 🎥 and a tutorial on how to make this special card yourself. Making it, is just as fulfilling as giving it away – an art project and a gift all in one.Whether it's a birthday 🎉, anniversary, or just because - celebrate your special someone by gifting them a token of your love, handcrafted by you, curated by us. Let the sands of time carry your love in a card! This is the first in a mini-series I have featuring the Time Together stamp set and dies.
