this is my creation for Artzdescrap's DT assignment for the month of October. Head on to their website!! Just alter any bottle, be it starbucks, prima etc and you might just be the lucky winner for this month. for my take, i used a Starbucks bottle... a close up view of the rim. how did i do it? 1. Get your bottle and paint with acrylic paint. 2. Let dry. Then use your alcohol inks!!!! dab dab or streak streak... for those who have not "opened" up their alcohol inks yet, now is the time... i used the copper mixative alcohol ink. 3. Since alcohol inks dry up easily, you can now decorate your bottle. I used rub ons because they adhere to the bottle easily. the finale look with the rub ons. you can also add blings or felt or anything which you might find desirable.
Some glass drink bottles come in cool shapes, so it’s always sort of a shame when you get ready to recycle them.

Oh...I love love love these! I CAN NOT lie! And they are a fairly easy DIY creation. Clicking though blogland I stumbled upon this idea at Kindness Matters. Tracy did such a great job and I loved her bottles at first sight. Sooo~~>I made my own "redefining" them a tad. Thanks Tracy for the wonderful inspiration! I love how your bottles turned out! *here are MY bottles...I had to post the pic up here so that the pic showed up in the blog reel. Anyone know how to choose which picture I want to show up?* OK... Here are her white bottles embellished just right and topped with super cute ribbon: Photo belongs to Kindness Matters. If you haven't already guessed...these are frappucino bottles. Purchased in a 4 pack and filled with YUM-O flavored coffee inside. They are kind of spendy but a girl has to do what a girl has to do! =) So here's what I did to "redefine" 'em: Washed 'em of course. Lids too. Then I put some Divine White paint inside with a tiny bit of water. I turned the bottles slowly until the interior was coated well. I poured the extra paint out and into a cup. I waited and waited and waited for the excess to flow out. But only until I was happy with how much had ran out and then called it good! I set them outside to dry. It took all day. In the meantime, I spray painted the lids using Rustoleum's Textured Dark Brown. How stinkin' fun is that paint?? I also used it HERE on a set of decorative DIY jars. I wrapped the neck of one bottle with hemp and tied the other two with burlap strips. No rhyme or reason as to how much hemp or how wide of strips. Just went with it! ;) Then, I created an Up Words & On Words vinyl design and used my Silhouette to cut the lettering in Turquoise. I placed the vinyl on the bottles, put the lids back on and BAM! Cute-ness x3. Whattaya think? I {LOVE} them! Thanks for stopping by! I'd love it if you'd like to follow me and join the fun! Let's see a raise of hands, who in here has a love of Starbucks? I thought so, I love it too. For me, it's only a treat for special occasions because my husband doesn't like it, it's costly, and it's usually out of the way to get to one. However, I get the Starbucks bottles at Walmart about
