Hello and welcome, Today I have some exciting news to share with you, I’m now officially part of the Colour INKspiration Crew! It consists of some amazing talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators that create projects based on photos from Pinterest. Did you see our Guest Designer - Le Anne Pugliese for this challenge? Her card is so beautiful be sure to hop all the way through for more inspiring projects using these colours. There’s also a Facebook group for Stampin’ Up! Who like to be creative and share their paper craft projects using colour combinations. There's more information at the end of this blog. Now for the gorgeous colours we get to use for the latest challenge #CI65 they are Blackberry Bliss, Merry Merlot, Gray Granit and Basic Black. You can also use Whisper White, Very Vanilla and as well as Metallics. I’ve used two stamp sets Fanciful Fragrance and Very Versailles for my card, both sets are stunning with a beautiful vintage feel. I’ve stamped the branch in Blackberry Bliss, then fussy cut around the stamped image and adhered to the card front with Tombow. The die cut image is in Whisper White Cardstock and I’ve used the 8cm by 11.5cm Stitched Rectangles Die. With a Sponge Dauber I’ve inked up around the edges with Gray Granite ink and the two flower images are in Merry Merlot Ink. There are three perfume bottles connected together in the Fanciful Fragrance stamp set and I only wanted one, so I fussy cut around the image, adhered with Tombow and placed the greeting with Stampin’ Dimmensionals. The card base is Blackberry Bliss and with the stamp image of the Script from Very Versailles, I’ve randomly stamped on the Cardstock in Black Memento ink. I like how the branch image connects the two pieces of Cardstock together. The final touch I’ve added three Basic Rhinestones to the card. Make sure you click on the link highlighted and ask to join Colour INKspiration Facebook group to partake in the challenge. All you need to do is up load a photo and if you have a blog you can link it back to your personal blog if you wish to. Share with your crafty friends so they can join in with the challenges too. Hope to see you there! Now for more inspiration please click on the next button to see Cathy Pinchbeck she’s so talented with her amazing card. July is World Watercolor Month. Stampin’ Up! provides us with several watercolor products and fabulous images.
Yes, it's about to make a debut - Round 2 of Sale-a-Bration! A release of additional FREE products will begin on March 3rd, to celebrate the ending of the best time of the Stampin' UP! year. As a demonstrator, I get access to some of these goodies early, and this was one opportunity I didn't pass up! The So Very Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper is something that I just had to have! Take a look: See that beautiful light purple color? With the embossing? THAT'S one of the gorgeous colors (Purple Posy) that comes in the pack. There is also Pool Party and Soft Sea Foam...swoon... I thought I'd try using this with the new Birthday dies, a coordinating item to the Happy Birthday to You stamp set. The dies are available for purchase now. So let's see what I made. I started by stamping the cake from the stamp set on Whisper White paper, using Tuxedo Black ink. I then stamped it again on the vellum, using Versamark, and heat embossed it with Black embossing powder. After cutting both pieces with the coordinating dies, I layered the vellum piece over the white one, creating a Purple Posy cake. And then those flowers! What I love about the dies is that you can cut out the entire cake (including the flowers) and you can also cut just the flowers. Which allows you to layer them over the cake for some added dimension. I colored my flowers with Purple Posy and Highland Heather Stampin' Blends, along with Granny Apple Green, Lovely Lipstick and Mango Melody. Then I added some Wink of Stella and a Noble Peacock Rhinestone for some added bling. So pretty! My cake was adhered to a Whisper White Stitched So Sweetly frame, and then on top of the vellum, cut with the Stitched Rectangle dies. The cake stand is another die included in the set, which I cut with Gorgeous Grape. And I stamped a greeting from Varied Vases, punching it out with the Classic Label punch. So watch for the second release of FREE products, coming March 3rd. I am sure you'll find something to love! Hello friends! I do have plans to make at least one more Christmas video for the year. But first, I decided to use Echo Park's Celebrate Winter collection. I make cards for a small local charity. They like to use my cards to write Thank You notes to all their generous donors. They specifically requested
Welcome to the Stampin' Addicts' Stampin' Up! 2016 Occasions Catalog Blog Hop. It is such fun to see everyone's ideas with the new stamp sets and Big Shot items! If you are hopping in order, you've arrived after seeing Heidi's lovely designs on her Running with Scissors Blog. Should you get lost or want to chat about the hop, here is a link to the chat thread on the Stampin' Addicts website: Chat Thread I'm using the Rose Garden/Rose Wonder Bundle for my creations....There are so many amazing things you can do with the main image of this stamp set and die cuts that I've decided to list them for you! First with the Rose Garden thinlits, you can cut the main image from black, white, gold, silver or a color of cardstock with green leaves. You could then, use it as is, sponge or water color a white die cut, or you could also fill the voids with colored cardstock, glimmer paper, designer series paper, vellum or shimmer paper. You could also just use it as a mask and sponge around the Rose Image Die Cut. With the stamp set you could heat emboss it, and then emboss resist, watercolor, sponge or color with your favorite coloring technique. I plan to try them all eventually! My first cards use Stampin' Up!'s card design from page 19 of the catalog. I used Daffodil Delight and So Saffron as well as Watermelon Wonder and Calypso Coral. I like the stained glass look of black with this die cut especially. I made this orange card about a month ago, but sadly, another blogger has already posted a picture of this idea. Great minds think alike I guess, so I decided to go ahead and post. I found that using the Mono Multi liquid glue worked best for me for this card. I used the Fine-Tip Glue Pen when I first tried it, and I found I had a bit of "seepage" on the the card base at the top of the flower. Sadly, the adhesive eraser removes the Mono Multi easily, but didn't remove the "shiny" look of the dried Fine-Tip Pen's glue at all. The Mono Multi also gives you more time to put your pieces into the voids. The Fine-Tip Glue Pen dries very quickly. After you've made one of the cards above, you are left with some lovely green and yellow line die cuts which can (and should :) ) be made into a card. I made the So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz into a simple sympathy card and the Daffodil Delight and Old Olive into a Thank you Card. The "with Sympathy" sentiment is cut out using the great new label die in this bundle, and I'm weird in that I think sympathy cards should not be embellished much. Finally, I "Winked" the line rose stamp with Wink of Stella Clear and intentionally smeared the Real Red and Old Olive a bit. It would be fun to play with this in every color a rose is, I think and to try adding more ink here and there. I especially like the way the Wink of Stella looks just directly on our cardstock as shown here on the Real Red. I'm easily amused. :) Now, it is time to continue to Sara's blog to enjoy her lovely designs with the Going Global set and Going Places Product Suite on her Lily's Ink Pad blog.

Azure Afternoon with Beauty of the Deep Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. We are working though the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order, focussing on one colour each week, however, we are starting with the new colours and are currently featuring the new core colours. This week’s Blog Hop is focussing on a mid turquoise called Azure Afternoon. Azure Afternoon is part of the Brights Colour Family and is a gorgeous blue. This colour would be a lovely watery seaside colour or perhaps even be used for sky. As with the other new colours, I am exploring coordinating colours but I think it work’s well with other blues and blue greens (as used in the card below). Azure Afternoon is produced in Stampin' Up!'s card-stock, both A4 & 12"x12"; Classic Stampin' inks (ink pads & re-inkers); Stampin' Write Marker; Stampin' Blends Combo; Brights Designer Series Paper as well as Masterfully Made, Fresh As A Daisy and Bright & Beautiful DSPs; plus White Centre Speciality Paper; Bright & Beautiful Memories & More Card Pack + Cards & Envelopes; the Sheer Ribbon Combo; and Opaque Ovals. It is a beautiful selection. Azure Afternoon card-stock and ink have been used in the creation of this project plus a range of non-Azure Afternoon bits and pieces. I decided to take note of the name of this colour to set the theme for my project, as such I have used the gorgeous Beauty of the Deep bundle. I also thought that a water-colour background would work brilliantly. I’m sorry to have used another water-colour technique - however, I do love this background and think it works well as an undersea scene. I used the wet on wet water-colour technique with Azure Afternoon Classic Stampin’ Ink together with Blueberry Bushel, Coastal Cabana and Lost Lagoon inks on Fluid 100 Watercolor paper. Once dry, the large filigree coral stamp from the Beauty of the Deep stamp set was white heat embossed over each side edge with Versamark ink, white Emboss Powder and a Heat tool before being mounted on Azure Afternoon card-stock. The fish from the Beauty of the Deep set were stamped in either Petal Pink or Calypso Coral inks on Basic White card-stock. They were all coloured with Wink of Stella and a touch of Petal Pink ink. One of the coral plants was stamped in Lost Lagoon ink. The anchor was silver heat embossed. The long leafy plant was white heat embossed on Vellum card-stock. All were die cut with coordinating Beauty of the Deep dies. The wide coral-type plant was die cut from Basic White card-stock. A Thick Basic White card base was stamped along 3 edges with the long leafy stamp in 2nd generation Azure Afternoon ink. All the various pieces were arranged and adhered with either Multi-purpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals or Glue Dots. Shhhhh - but the 2 smaller Petal Pink fish are swimming up-side-down. I didn’t realise this till I was adding watermarks to the photos. Oops. Some Tahitian Tide 2022-2024 In Color Baker’s Twine was attached to the anchor with the ends frayed to give a sense of the anchor’s rope disintegrating and entwining itself in the sea plants. Some white Craft ink was splattered over as well. A sentiment from Season of Chic stamp set was white heat embossed on Azure Afternoon card-stock. A number of Iridescent Pearls added a little extra shimmer. A panel of Basic White card-stock mounted on a slightly larger piece of Azure Afternoon card-stock had been 2nd generation Azure Afternoon stamped with the tall leafy stamp and a couple of Petal Pink stamped fish. A C6 Basic White envelope was stamped in the same manner to coordinate. Thank you so much for dropping in to check out my Azure Afternoon Sea Theme card. I so appreciate you and your interest. There is more Azure Afternoon creativity, so do continue with the blog hop. Just click the "next" graphic below to be taken to the blog of my lovely friend, Rachel Palmieri. I am looking forward to checking out Rachel’s creation(s). I do love seeing everyones' projects - there is always so much inspiration. I hope to see you next week when we will be featuring Bubble Bath, another of the new core colours, as we continue the weekly 2023-2024 Colour Creations Blog Hop series over the coming 11 months.
