I tend to relate my life and the world around me to music,to the trees and birds, and also to the weather. As I look around, I see the world is presently experiencing the effects of an unstable atmosphere. The red flag warnings have been posted and there are signs of an impending storm. Dew points are rising, making us uncomfortable and irritable. Anytime a storm approaches, you need to gauge the temperature levels outside. As the warm moist air is pulled into a storm system,it leaves a low-pressure vacuum in its wake. The air travels up through the storm cloud and helps to fuel it. People are angry, hypocritical, gloomy, fretful, easily offended and dissatisfied because the vacuum in their cloud is being fueled by fear, creating a storm cloud that hangs over them. Media pounds out fear, day after day. Social media takes away human contact that we so desperately need as creatures who are created for love. Society can no longer see any solutions to their unrest as visibility is zero percent. They are in a spiritual drought and do not know where to find water to quench their thirst. Turning to mere humans to find answers will not extinguish this storm. The answer is a spiritual one, as we are spiritual creatures, created by God to find our peace in his love for us.The one who created us is waiting for our response to the love that gave us our being. In him the storm clouds dissipate and we are saturated with a calm that only he can provide. Yes, in this world we will have storms, we will have tribulations, but we can find the ray of sunshine that breaks through those clouds and says, "Come to me and I will give you rest." The long range forecast looks good, the future will be bright. "Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life." "Whoever drinks the water that I will give him will never become thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become a well of water for him, springing up to eternal life." Jesus
