Hello and welcome to my blog. This is my card to entry to Kylie Bertucci's International Project Highlights for April 2022 - the theme is Thank you. I love Stampin' Up!'s Designer Series Paper, and the New Horizons papers are no different. The watercolour impressionist style of the papers create fantastic backgrounds and they just cry out to take centre stage. I have used these papers to decorate my fancy fold card creating a perfect backdrop for the little sailing boat from the Let's Set Sail set. This fancy fold card is one of my favourites, but I've taken a different approach this time. Usually, I use at least two different papers or colours as decoration. This time, however, I have used the same paper across each of the layers so that the scene continues across the whole card without interruption. The little boat and sails were stamped using matching card and ink and then cropped out using the coordinating punch. The slim, angled banner highlights the thanks for everything sentiment, which is from the On the Horizon set. As mentioned at the beginning I am entering Kylie's International Project Highlights and you can follow the link to the gallery where you will find heaps more inspiration AND you can vote for your favourite five projects. At the end of the voting the Top Ten winners will be invited to take part in a blog hop at the end of the month. I would love to take part in the hop, so I would really appreciate your help. Please would you visit the gallery and vote for my card? Click on the little heart on my card, which is number 17. Thank you so much for stopping by today. If you want to purchase the items used for these cards, or any other supplies, please take a look in my online Stampin' Up! shop. I had my friend Irene over this past week to make cards using the In The Moment set. She loved one I had sent her as a thank you and wanted to make some to send friends and family. We made 12 cards in 2 hours. She loved coloring the images as much as I did. Here is one I made before I cleaned up our mess the next day. I colored my image stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white card stock with Stampin Blends markers in light and dark Fresh Freesia for the outfit, hair in dark Daffodil Delight, hat in light Crumb Cake, rail in dark Crumb Cake, skin in SU900, and the wine in dark Blackberry Bliss. I cut it out with the Stirched So Sweetly die and stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink from the Flowering Tulips set. I layered it on apiece of Fresh Freesia card stock ran throught with the Painted Texture embossing folder and added to a white base. I finished it off with some Fresh Freesia gems for a little bling. Hope you have a blessed week and thanks for stopping by! I hope everyone is having a good Monday! I was hoping a "Springy" card would warm me up on a very cold Minnesota day... I saw a pocket card on Pinterest using the Daffodil Afternoon DSP(definitely "Springy DSP) from the Sale Bration catalog (January 4th- February 28th 2022). I fell in love with the design. I turned the pocket card into a regular card. I will be using this design with other DSP and stamp sets for sure!! The sentiment is also from the Sale a bration catalog (special moments). I used the Daffodil dies from the Mini Catalog. What do you think of this design? https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2260586

Hi 👋 - we are so thrilled to have you here with us! Its Bruno here! As we attended OnStage, we were able to pre-order from the upcoming catalogue (and redeem free items from Saleabration brochure). FULL DISCLOSURE: This stamp set was one that I was going to pass on. I said to Kylie 'Im not going to redeem the 'In the Country' stamp set. Kylie responded 'YOU WILL NOT! YOU WILL REDEEM EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.' So, I did! Here it is! And, here is the project I created using this stamp set! I stamped it in Tuxedo Black and coloured it with Stampin' Blends. I then adhered it to a piece of Crumb Cake, and layered it on a piece of Kraft cardstock. I took a piece of Kraft cardstock and run it through the Timber 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to a Crumb Cake card base. Its really quite funny - I went from not even wanting to purchase a stamp set to one of my favourite projects Ive made in quite some time!!! When can you get your hands on this free stamp set? Are you a demonstrator? If so, you can participate in the demonstrator only pre-order from December 1, 2022. If you are not-yet a demonstrator, you can join our team and participate in the demonstrator only pre-order from December 1, 2022.
