I'm sharing a simple 'thinking of you' card today that was really fun to make. The Daisy Garden background stamp set, new in Stampin' Up!'s 2021 Annual Catalog, is a great set to build a quiet backdrop on a project, but I wanted to bring it to life a bit
Have you tried the No Line Watercolouring Technique? I hadn't and decided to test it out using the Daisy Garden stamp. This is a very large stamp so it is best to use a stamp positioner as once the stamp is mounted on an extra large block it gets very heavy and can be difficult

I have made a lot of cards using the open circle image from the Playful Backgrounds stamp set, however I had not used the other images in the set. So I set my self a challenge to use the striped image in the set and this is what I came up with. I should have called this my bits and bobs card as I used up a lot of my die cuts left over from other projects. The daisy flower I created ages ago (I actually have another one just like it in my stash) for a project and changed my mind about using it. I stamped the background image twice using Soft Suede ink (stamped off once) on a piece of Whisper White cardstock. I then made my floral arrangement over the stamped image. If you live in Australia you can get all the supplies you need for this project from me. You can place an order online and join in the fun with the On-line Club or Contact Me and place an order. I've been trying to think up new ways to use my daisy set. This card was more fun than anything I've done in awhile, daisies are just too much fun to play with. I decided to try coloring my daisy with different colors, leaving part of it white. I think it turned out gorgeous! And I didn't even use the glitter gems on this one, just did the center in white with the second part of the center in Crumb Cake. I used the new Postscrip background stamp on this, stamped in Smoky Slate, stamped off first, then onto my card to keep it light and very much in the background. Hmmmm, wonder if this would all work really pretty on Smoky Slate CS.... My green is Lemon Lime Twist, our new incolor and I used one of the Bitty bows that already have the tiny sticky dot on the back, how fun is that!? I also used Marina Mist for my blue. The blue is the part of the inspiration card that I picked up on. Here is the challenge card, you can click this also, and check out the cards from the team. Also, after stamping the daisy very lightly, I put alcohol in one of my aqua bush's and used that with my ink pad for the color. That way the stamped image won't run. A blender pen works very all also, it has a chemical in it and not water, but I like the look better with the brush. This 18 and a half minute video contains ideas for using the Daisy Garden Stamp/Background set. For the Daisy Garden Full Background Stamp Set, I used a variety of colors and embellishments and a couple of techniques. The first card is in the new Fresh Freesia In Color with In Color Pale Papaya ribbon and flower centers on a Pool Party base. I waited to add a sentiment until I decide exactly for what I will use it. The green is Light Granny Apple, and the Echinachea (Purple Coneflower) were colored with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. I cute around some of the flowers to create an edge that gives the card a lot of contrast too. What other color combinations would use for a card like this? For this Monochrome style card, I used Daffodil Delight for the card base and ink with BumbleBee gingham ribbon. I also went over the flowers with Wink of Stella glitter brush for sparkle and shine. This card is Fresh Freesia, Petal Pink and Soft Seafoam for a pleasing pastel color scheme with a lot less coloring than the first card. For even less coloring time, try the spotlight technique. I liked the soft edges, but for even more emphasis, you can layer the circle that is colored onto Basic Black or Polished Pink or both in larger size circles. I liked the softer look I used with just the colored circle layered onto a stamped layer. You can die cut several circles from one stamped image, color them and use them with other stamped image layers for several cards too. This card is for one of my downline's new downline. I love helping people save money on their purchases and enjoy a new hobby. If you would like to know more about becoming a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, please email me. I'm super excited to share the 3rd and final card from my Ink Blending tip video last week (see it HERE or below in this post)! I was inspired by a card that Melody Hyde shared where she only stamped part of the Daisy Garden background stamp. So, I only stamped about 2/3 of the stamp on this card and I love it! I used Stampin' Up! Blending Brushes to create the ombre colored stripe of Mango Melody, Calypso Coral and Poppy Parade! The video will show you exactly how I did it! Black Glitter paper, with

Today's card is a HUGE sneak peek of some new stamps coming up in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog! These are stamp sets I received when I was at On Stage in Charlotte. The first set is the darling Daisy Lane. I just used one of the daisy stamps but stamped with two different colors, Grapefruit Grove and Daffodil Delight. Then I fussy cut the flowers with my Paper Snips. I also stamped the stem and leaf stamp with Garden Green ink and fussy cut it. The beautiful background is a piece of Whisper White card stock stamped with the new

Don’t you just love background stamps. I used the new Daisy Garden Stamp for this card. I embossed it with White Embossing Powder and then colored with Watercolor Pencils to give it a soft look.
Daisy Lane strikes again Daisy Lane strikes again, this time with flowers attached to stems! The Daisy Lane Stamp Set has a variety of images that work nicely together. Looking at my cards, I made one card showcasing three flowers and the other card, showcased 2 flowers. I had a hard time finding a spot for the sentiment with the 3 flowers so by eliminating one, I was able to add a greeting. Blackberry Bliss I decided to use Blackberry Bliss on the flowers and I am thrilled I did. I haven't used this color in quite some
This is my favorite Daisy card!! I mean Fresh Freesia and Mossy Meadow! WOW, stamp in Versamark and Emboss with Clear embossing powder. An OLD Technique with beautiful results! Good morning crafty friends! It's Friday...are you ready for your weekend? I am so excited! Saturday is our 28th anniversary and our son is moving to Chester, California...just under three hours from me, so we are going to Lake Almanor for a long weekend to celebrate and help him get settled! We're staying in a beautiful home on the lake that a friend rents out when she's not there. As much as I hate getting in a swimming suit...we're gonna spend a lot of time on the lake and on our bicycles!! It's an AMAZING lake. My husband and I did a bicycle ride around it a few years back and saw it for the first time! It's like a smaller Lake Tahoe...without all the crowds! We're leaving this morning, YIPPEE!!!! I have a great card to share with you this morning! It's one of my favorites lately! It's made with the Daisy punch which is now available for order! If you come to my classes and told me you wanted one...they are on their way!!! I belong to a Demonstrator Planning facebook page, where we share ideas and projects...I was INSPIRED!! For my card I embossed the Whisper Whited card base using the Pinewood Plank embossing folder. Next I embossed a square piece of Whisper White card stock with Layered Leaves embossing folder and added it to a Crushed Curry mat. I used my Stitched Shapes framelits to cut a square using watercolor paper. I used my Aqua Painter to brush a Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry background (I've been using these colors a bunch lately). The sentiment is from the Beautiful You stamp set and is stamped in Crushed Curry ink. I punched one daisy in Thick Whisper White card stock, cut it in half, curled the petals with my bone folder, layered one half on top of the other and attached it to the water color square with a dimensional. The center is a 3/4" circle that I cut twice, making it an oval, then embossed it using the Softly Falling embossing folder! I added a couple Glimmer Enamel Dots to balance the card a bit. I JUST LOVE THIS CARD!!! It would make a beautiful birthday card, thinking of you card, thank you card...it can be used for any occasion! Here is the card that INSPIRED me! I pretty much just copied it...I LOVED IT THAT MUCH!!! I saved the photo so I could give credit, but I can't make out the demonstrator's name...I'm so sorry. She is on the Artisan team and not from the United States (you can tell by her watermark and her sentiment). I'm gonna have to retrace where I found this card so I can give her proper credit! I hope that you love this card as much as I do! Even more I hope that you are inspired to go out and create just as I was! THANKS SO MUCH for stopping by today! ENJOY your weekend! Stay safe!! ~Today's Thought~
Hello Friends! Embossing Paste has been around for a long time, but I sure don't remember it being this fun! I believe it all has to do with the amazing quality of the Stampin' Up! Embossing Paste. It is so smooth, and dries in no time at all. And there are so many techniques you can do with it. (click on the picture to go to my online store for all the details). When I was first playing with it, I did a few card fronts just using white paste on white cardstock. Then I thought, oh let's colour this. So I added a few drops of Lemon Lime Twist reinker. I couldn't stop making art pieces to use. I took a card from Amy Koenders and turned it into a journal for our recent trip to Asia with Stampin' Up!. Then I thought, I could do a cover for some note books for my Monthly Stamping Club! Here's what I came up with for the journal .... I loved working with the Embossing Paste so much that I created a Technique Class with 3 beautiful cards. Of course then I could not stop and I have created a few more projects as well. But those I will share later on. Yesterday was the Embossing Paste Technique Class, here is one of the cards we created .... I used the embossing paste "natural" right onto the black cardstock. Then after it dried for a bit it was sponged it using Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise and Lemon Lime Twist. I used the Oh So Eclectic bundle (Oh So Eclectic stamp set and Eclectic Layers Dies) to make a floral spray and added some Black Shimmer Ribbon. It doesn't take any time at all for the paste to dry, we just did the pasting first, then it dried while we created the other elements of the card. You can also use the heat gun a bit to hurry the drying time along, just be careful you don't burn the paste. Here's a video by Stampin' Up! on how to use the paste. If it disappears, CLICK HERE for the link ... I hope you get a chance to create with the Embossing Paste. If I can help you get your supplies, CLICK HERE to go to my Canadian Online Store, or EMAIL ME and I will be happy to help. Have a Crafty Day!

Today I have a lovely daisy card to share that I made for someone special. It was my mom's birthday last week and I managed to make her a card on time, but posting it is another story. I sure wish I loved to write and knew how to put the thoughts from my head onto paper that was enjoyable for others to read AND do it quickly! Anyone else feel that way? This was a fun card to create, but it did take a bit of time. If you love to color then this is the card for you! I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored everything using Stampin' Blends. I also added a bit of Wink of Stella in the center of the flowers to give them a bit of shimmer. All of the colors and products used will be listed below. Basic White So Saffron Granny Apple Green Old Olive Balmy Blue Night of Navy Thanks for looking and have a great day! Sara Remember all products used are listed at the bottom of each post. Don’t you just love background stamps. I used the new Daisy Garden Stamp for this card. I embossed it with White Embossing Powder and then colored with Watercolor Pencils to give it a soft look.
This large background stamp is so much fun to create with. You don't have to use the whole image which is easy to forget for any stamp but especially these large stamps. I stamped the daisies on a piece of Basic White with Memento ink and colored this in with watercolor pencils. I did add a bit of Wink of Stella to the center of the daisies. It's easy to forget that you don't have to color in images too! Here I stamped the center portion of the stamp with Gorgeous Grape ink. I layered the image with some Gorgeous Grape cardstock. The background was embossed with Pretty Flowers embossing folder. On these cards, you see the whole image but with a fun and easy technique. I stamped the image with VersaMark ink and then sprinkled it with white embossing powder and heat set it on both of the pink cardstocks. One pink is Polished Pink and the other is Melon Mambo. Use the Stamparatus for this so that the images are in the exact same spot on both pieces of cardstock. I then laid the large circle die on top of both pieces of cardstocks that were stacked together. I ran them through my die cutting machine all at the same time, cutting the circle from both pieces of cardstock. I then swapped the two circles around and adhered them to the other center with dimensionals. This is a super simple technique. If you can't get your circle to cut, run it through your die cutting machine more than once. Sometimes it just needs the extra run through to get it to cut. You can see the Facebook Live video HERE where I made these two cards. Here is the Melon Mambo with the Polished Pink circle. This one is the Polished Pink with the Melon Mambo circle. Which do you like better? I really like the Melon Mambo with the Polished Pink circle. I think it's more striking then the other way around. Tell me what you think!
