This product provides an overview of the three main types of communities: Rural, Urban, and Suburban. It takes a look at just what a community is, defines each of the three types of communities, and provides some advantages and disadvantages of living in each. Standard Addressed: The student will be able to distinguish between urban, suburban, and rural communities. Practice sheets are provided to help students respond to the types of communities. There are some thought-type, open-ended questions that give students the opportunity to compare communities and to think and write about their own ideas based on the content and their own insight. There is also an "art-related" project. Answer keys are available, except for thought-related questions, which will elicit some different answers.
