Frump is yet another word used limit and disempower the female sex. To celebrate the strength of all women it is worn here by Lubna; a woman greatly lacking in frump whose taste and style are exquisite. Lubna is a renowned ceramicist whose work is so beautiful it brings out goose bumps. She recently completed an Artist in Residency at the V&A and displayed a work there consisting of a clustering of over a thousand small pieces that I simultaneously wanted to wear, eat and hide inside. Her emotional connection to clothes is like her work. When Lubna puts pieces of clothing together a chemical reaction takes place inside my eyes and it sparks a current of real joy. She wears, works and lives for sublime visual pleasure and the sight of her, and her ceramics, is like gulping down sweet high pigment bubblegum paint.
