Gold link jewelry is gold textile as jewelry - well that's how I think about my particular fascination with gold link. Obviously I'm a textile lover as I've devoted my design business to bending, sewing and musing over leather textiles. Solid gold forged into slinky chains is another chapter in my oohing and aahing over beautiful pliable yet strong constructions. *** Phenomenal Danish link bracelet in 14k solid gold - by Jørn Arne Backhausen - 6.75 inch length A rare and wonderful piece! This phenomenal link bracelet was designed and made by goldsmith Jørn Arne Backhausen in Skovlunde, Denmark. The craftsmanship is incredible. Link bracelet is solid 14K gold, 6.75 inch length, 13mm width, and weighs an excellent 24.7 grams! She has a well working hidden clasp with double safeties and is hallmarked for maker and gold purity. The gold is the most beautiful warm yellow hue. This link type is made of tiny plates of solid gold intricately stacked and woven with weft wires of gold. The goldsmith was showing off a bit! The form moves like a modernist snake, it is both silky and angular. I just love it. This bracelet is phenomenally beautiful with normal age related wear. She will be the star of your stack. INGRID Teagan is a One of a Kind Art Doll made completely by me. She was sculpted from paper clay over a hand built aluminum wire armature. I painted her with acrylics and used matte varnish for a sealer. Her eyes were made my me. I used beautiful orange/red Suri Angora Mohair wool locks for the hair. The clothes were hand stitched, draped without the use of patterns. Silk fabric is from India The earrings are ruby cubic zirconia and the bracelet and necklace are 14 K gold filled wire. Height of doll is 10 3/4 inches while sitting. She is sitting on a 3.5 x 3.5 x 5.5 unfinished wood block. The block is for display purposes only and does not come with the doll. No molds or patterns are ever used in my work. All my dolls are one of a kind and will never be reproduced. 1946 Vintage Bow Shaped Brooch in 18k gold - Stockholm, Sweden Ok, I couldn't resist this one. As someone who is obsessed by textile curves and drape, I had to have a ribbon of gold that is literally formed into a bow shape. So sweet, right?! This gold bow was made in 1946 by maker Stigbert, active 1939-2016 in Stockholm, Sweden. Brooch measures about 1 inch high by 1.6 inches wide. She has complete Swedish hallmarks for maker, year, gold purity and location. Condition is excellent. Brooch has a beautiful pin back closure that opens by pushing/pulling the gold ball component in/out to release the sharp end of the pin. This is very secure, not to mention elegant! Wear this bow at top button of your blouse, on a head scarf, or of course to secure your silk scarf or shawl. Details Maker Stigbert Active 1939-2016 Stockholm, Sweden Made in 1946 5.36g 18k gold (solid, not plated or fill) 1.6” (41mm) wide x 1” (25mm) high Full Swedish hallmarks Excellent vintage condition with normal age related wear More items available in my shop here Please reach out with any questions [email protected]
