White Tara’s compassion for living beings and her desire to save them from suffering is said to be even stronger than a mother’s love for her children. As the personification of enlightened maternal compassion, she has infinite sympathy for those facing the challenges of worldly existence. She is the female aspect of the universe and the source of all life; thus, she lovingly engenders, nourishes, and smiles at the vitality of creation. Meditation on the goddess grants health, long life, fearlessness, patience, and peace; and she is especially cherished for her swiftness in responding to the prayers of those who call upon her. Her color white symbolizes her radiant purity, but white also expresses her fundamental nature, which is the ultimate Truth, complete and undifferentiated. GESTURES AND ATTRIBUTES White Tara is depicted in a posture of graceful contemplative ease with both legs raised and crossed, displaying regal elegance and serenity. Her right hand is extended downward, palm open, with thumb and index finger touching. This hand position is known as Varada Mudra or the gesture of granting wishes and protection. Her left hand, raised to shoulder height with fingers extended and palm turned outward, is in the gesture of granting refuge and freeing from fears (Abhaya Mudra). Each of her hands also holds the stem of a beautiful lotus flower that floats above her shoulder as a symbol of her radiant purity and power. A distinctive characteristic of White Tara, shown in this representation, is her seven eyes. She has the two usual eyes plus one in the center of her forehead and one in each of her hands and feet. These eyes indicate that she sees all the suffering and cries for help in the universe, and symbolize her divine omniscience. During the reign of King Trisong Detsen, Padmasambhava helped establish the country’s first Buddhist monastery in Samye and he is considered the founder of the Nyingma (“ancient”) school, the oldest of the four major traditions of Tibetan Buddhism. In addition to his historical role, Padmasambhava is an important symbol of enlightenment in the Dzogchen teachings of the Nyingma lineage, and his image is often visualized as an object of meditation as the well spring of the teachings. He is said to have had eight manifestations, including both the peaceful and wrathful forms. For example, he rides on a pregnant tigress in the fierce form of Dorje Drolo, which he assumed to bring the local deities and guardians of Bhutan under his control. Padmasambhava had two main consorts. Mandarava was an Indian princess who is associated with the Long-Life practices, which she accomplished with Padmasmabhava at the cave of Maratika in Nepal. Yeshe Tsogyal, another legendary consort, was a Tibetan princes and an important realized teacher in her own right. She received Dzogchen one-taste teachings directly from Padmasambhava and a number of important texts are attributed to her. In thangkas and statues, Padmasambhava can most often be identified by his distinctive vajra hat. He is also often shown holding a skull bowl, a vajra, and a katvanga trident. Both consorts are often depicted in the thangkas to the left and right of Padmasambhava, Mandarava in Indian dress holding a Long-Life Vase, and Yeshe Tsogyal in Tibetan dress with a skull cup. This Mahāyāna sutra actually describes the practice of purification by confession and making prostrations to these Buddhas, and is part of the larger Stack of Jewels Sutra (Sanskrit: Ratnakutasutra; Tibetan: dkon mchog brtsegs pa'i mdo). In Tibet there were two distinct traditions of the Thirty-five Confession Buddhas which arose from the two main Indian schools of Mahāyāna Buddhism: one from the Madhyamaka school founded by Nāgārjuna, and the other from the Yogācāra school founded by Asaṅga and Vasubandhu. Both of these schools developed their own rituals for conferring the Bodhisattva vows, each incorporating a visualization of the Thirty-five Buddhas along with the recitation of the confession from the Triskhandhadharma Sutra. ❤NOTICE 1.This thangka is made to order, it will takes about 3-7 days to complete and ship. 2.Please allow 1-2cm error due to manual measurement. 3.The color may have different as the difference display. She appears as a female bodhisattva in Mahayana Buddhism, and is considered to be the consort or shakti (power) of Avalokiteshvara.Tārā is also known as a saviouress who hears the cries of beings in saṃsāra and saves them from worldly and spiritual danger. In Vajrayana, she is considered to be a Buddha, and the Tārā Tantra describes her as “a mother who gives birth to the buddhas of the three times” who is also "beyond saṃsāra and nirvāṇa." She is one of the most important female deities in Vajrayana and is found in sources like the Mañjuśrīmūlakalpa, and the Guhyasamāja Tantra. Key Indic Vajrayana texts which focus on Tārā include the Tantra Which is the Source for All the Functions of Tārā, Mother of All the Tathagatas (Skt. Sarvatathāgatamātṛtārāviśvakarmabhavanāmatantra) and Tārā’s Fundamental Ritual Text (Tārāmūlakalpa). Tārā remains a popular meditation deity (yidam) in Tibetan Buddhism and she is also revered in Newar Buddhism. Tārā is considered to have many forms or emanations, and there are several traditions which list twenty-one Tārās, each with different colors, implements, number of faces and arms and activities such as pacifying (śānti), increasing (pauṣṭika), enthralling (vaśīkaraṇa), and assaulting (abhicāra). The green (or "blue-green", Skt. śyāmatārā) form of Tārā remains the most important form of the deity in the Tibetan tradition.[6][7] A practice text entitled Praise to Tara in Twenty-One Homages is the most important text on Tara in Tibetan Buddhism and is the source for the various traditions which list twenty one forms of Tārā (aside from the main green form). The main Tārā mantra is the same for Buddhists and Hindus alike: oṃ tāre tuttāre ture svāhā. It is pronounced by Tibetans and Buddhists who follow the Tibetan traditions as oṃ tāre tu tāre ture soha. The literal translation would be "Oṃ O Tārā, I pray O Tārā, O Swift One, So Be It!" ❤NOTICE 1.This thangka is made to order, it will takes about 3-7 days to complete and ship. 2.Please allow 1-2cm error due to manual measurement. 3.The color may have different as the difference display. The name "Mañjuśrī" is a combination of Sanskrit word "mañju" and an honorific "śrī", it can be literally translated as "Beautiful One with Glory" or "Beautiful One with Auspiciousness". Mañjuśrī is also known by the fuller name of Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta (मञ्जुश्रीकुमारभूत), literally "Mañjuśrī, Still a Youth" or, less literally, "Prince Mañjuśrī". Another name of Mañjuśrī is Mañjughoṣa. Scholars have identified Mañjuśrī as the oldest and most significant bodhisattva in Mahāyāna literature. Mañjuśrī is first referred to in early Mahāyāna sūtras such as the Prajñāpāramitā sūtras and through this association, very early in the tradition he came to symbolize the embodiment of prajñā (transcendent wisdom). The Lotus Sutra assigns him a pure land called Vimala, which according to the Avatamsaka Sutra is located in the East. His pure land is predicted to be one of the two best pure lands in all of existence in all the past, present, and future. When he attains Buddhahood his name will be Universal Sight[citation needed]. In the Lotus Sūtra, Mañjuśrī also leads the Nagaraja's daughter to enlightenment. He also figures in the Vimalakīrti Sūtra in a debate with Vimalakīrti where he is presented as a Bodhisattva who discusses non-duality with him. ❤NOTICE 1.This thangka is made to order, it will takes about 3-7 days to complete and ship. 2.Please allow 1-2cm error due to manual measurement. 3.The color may have different as the difference display. He is attributed with bringing the insight that leads many sentient beings to Enlightenment. In all of Mahayana Buddhism, he is considered the Bodhisattva of Wisdom; in Vajrayana, he is a completely enlightened Buddha. (This is not a contradiction, but rather, a path: the Bodhisattva path leads to Buddha Enlightenment). He is also one of the three “great” Bodhisattvas, along with Avalokiteshvara and Vajrapani. Broadly speaking, they represent three critical concepts, or the three virtues of the Buddha: Manjushri: wisdom and insight (prajna) Avalokiteshvara: compassion and love (metta) Vajrapani: power and strength and protection. Size Description: Dimensions: 50cm x 35 cm Mantra : The individual syllables A RA PA CA and NA have no conceptual meaning, although they are seen as having symbolic connections with various spiritual qualities. A leads to the insight that the essence of all things is unproduced. RA leads to the insight that all things are pure and free of defilements. PA leads to the insight that all dharmas have been “expounded in the ultimate sense.” CA leads to the insight that the arising and ceasing of things cannot be apprehended because in reality there is no arising or ceasing. NA leads to the insight that although the names for things change the nature of things behind their names cannot be gained or lost. Every painting is nicely packed with hand made lokta paper and is put inside a strong non bendable PVC Pipes for expedition.

He lived and taught in India in the sixth century B.C.E., a time of burgeoning religious and philosophical thought from Greece to China. Born as the crown prince of the great Shakya Kingdom, the young Siddhartha Gautama was groomed to be a king in accordance with the wishes of his royal father. However, when he was about 29 years old, he learned of the deep suffering experienced in life by people. He left his palace life, gave up his fine garments and jewelry in order to find the causes of this suffering and the means to overcome it. After about six years of study, self-deprivation, and deep meditation he finally realized his goal. He had become an enlightened one (a Buddha). After this, he is said to have walked to a deer park in Sarnath (Benares) on the outskirts of Varanasi in India. Here he gave his first sermon, an event which is called the turning of the wheel of Buddhist law (Dharmacakra). The wheel as a metaphor for Buddha’s teaching will become a prevalent symbol in Buddhist art. ❤NOTICE 1.This thangka is made to order, it will takes about 3-7 days to complete and ship. 2.Please allow 1-2cm error due to manual measurement. 3.The color may have different as the difference display.
