That little ladder is called a stile. The structure allows hikers to safely cross over ancient stone walls that criss-cross the English countryside.
Happiness sometimes seems very elusive. The more you chase it, the harder it seems to catch it. It’s a by-product of living meaningfully and listening to what your body and mind need. However, you don’t necessarily have to win a Nobel prize fto live with purpose. Spending time with the people you care about, slowing down and being present in the moment, allowing yourself to take in the beauty of the world around you—that’s how we befriend happiness.
Our favourite places to visit in autumn
{image via} Every year around this time, I have the major summer itch. School is almost out and even the nights are warm. I’m ready for cool drinks by the water and summery nights lit up by fireflies. There’s magic to be found in the long summer days. And of course, I always like to style my home for the seasons. This year, I have the perfect excuse to ready my house for summer. Next week, I’ll be participating in Gina of The Shabby Creek Cottage’s Summer Tour of Homes. I feel honored to be sharing my summer home along with 24 AMAZING other bloggers! Summer decorating can be a little more difficult than other seasons, I think. I mean fall and Christmas is a bit obvious, though I love some out of the box holiday decor. For summer, I’m hoping to create a home that feels fresh and really evokes […]

Looking for a new lake to boat on? We’ve put together this list of some of the best lakes in the United States.
"The Legend of Lake Blausee" Inspired by the beautiful Lake Blausee in Switzerland during the winter. You'll find lots of blue and green in this skein, with pops of gold speckles to represent some area of the lake itself, along with the trees and cabin. Lake Blausee is a mineral-rich mountain spring lake with crystal clear water. Be sure to check out the photo of the sunken statue in Lake Blausee. Legend has it that there once was a couple who fell in love at the lake and spent many hours meeting up there, rowing a boat out onto the lake. The man later died, leaving her alone. During her grief, she would row her boat out onto the lake alone. One night, her boat sank and legend has it that her tears turned the lake blue. Processing Time: Please see the Dyed-to-Order or the FAQ pages for current processing times. Color variations: Due to monitor differences, actual colors may also vary from what is shown. All yarn is dyed by hand and each skein is unique. Please take into consideration the following: - The "Rustic" bases can slightly change the color. Sometimes they lean more "rustic" than their brighter superwash bases and other times they dye exactly the same. - Nylon bases occasionally result in slightly brighter variations of the 100% superwash bases. Care: Even though all yarn has been washed and rinsed, bleeding can still occur during the first few washes. This is normal. If you are concerned, unwind your hank before use, soak for 15 minutes with wool wash in a cool bath and hang up to dry. Cake dry yarn only. Hand wash your projects using wool wash and cool water. Do not wring or rub your pieces. Lay flat to dry. Need a project idea for your monthly yarn club? - I designed the Birds of a Feather Blanket specifically for a monthly yarn club project and paired it with a neutral. - Create a quilt style blanket with a lot of creative freedom using the Quilted Crochet Temperature Blanket - Love Tunisian Crochet or want to learn how to do it? With great hiking, few fellow campers, and amazing campsites next to the lakes, Loch Leven should be on your Tahoe bucket list.

The lakes of the Adirondacks were loaded with water lilies, something I am not use to paddling around. I tried for a different perspective by shooting underwater up through the lily pads as the sun rays shined through. ----- July 29th to August 2nd, my brother and I kayaked the first map of the the Northern Forest Canoe Trail, Old Forge to Long Lake in the Adirondacks of New York. It was an incredible adventure through a pond, 11 lakes, a boggy marsh and 1 river. We set up primitive camping each night in different locations, Seventh Lake, Raquette Lake, Forked Lake and Raquette River. I used two cameras through the journey, a waterproof point and shoot and my Nikon DSLR. Become a Fan on Facebook! PLEASE NOTE: All Rights are Reserved. I got to Peyto Lake in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada at least half an hour before sunrise, but when I got there, there were two other photographers already there and they were in exact spot I wanted to shoot from. Rather than get in their way, I set out to look for an alternative spot and after walking a few hundred meters, I found these beautiful, lichen covered boulders so stopped there and set up my tripod to photograph the lake. The fact that they were there was actually a blessing in disguise, because this spot was way better than the one I wanted to shoot from initially. About the Prints: These Original Signed Pigment on Paper Prints are produced to the latest archival standards and are made with an Epson Stylus Pro 3880 printer and pigment inks on fine art, museum grade, Baryta paper. They also feature a half inch white border to aid in handling and framing. The prints are personally created and inspected by me in my print studio and all of the prints are signed with an acid-free pen. They are then sealed in a clear, acid-free, polyester sleeve. This protects the print against dust, oils, fingerprints, and any other outside contaminants. All prints come with a signed Certificate of Authenticity! Shipping: The smaller 12″ x 18″ prints are securely packaged and shipped flat in a sturdy cardboard mailer. Unfortunately, it is cost prohibitive to ship the larger, 16″ x 24″ prints in the same way, so they must be rolled and shipped in a sturdy cardboard tube instead. The artist, Tomas Nevesely, reserves the right to: - Create “proof” prints as required to ensure optimal print quality and colour. These prints will be marked as such and will never be offered for sale. - Reproduce these images for use in greetings cards, calendars, books and for any other promotional purposes. - License these images for other commercial or editorial purposes.
