Wearing: Coat - H&M | Jumper - Kohls | Jeans - Topshop | Boots - Dr. Martens | Bag - Clarks I know when I think of Italy, the mental image of a large, soft jumper and fuzzy coat does not immediately come to mind. In fact, the first time I visited the country back in 2013 they were going through a heatwave, and my wardrobe mainly consisted of shorts, t-shirts, and sunscreen. But then again, January is January no matter where you are* (*unless, I suppose, you're south of the equator). Luckily, coming from the cold state of Montana (and the constant rain of London), I found this January weather more than tolerable - in fact it was ideal! I believe whilst I was there, the weather hovered around a pleasant 50 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit. I spent the entirety of my four days in Rome wearing this light/mid-weight coat, and often found myself wanting to take it off in the afternoons. I only recently got this coat back when I was in California over the holidays. My mom tried to convince me not to get it considering how many coats I already own, but the fit of this was just too good to pass up. And with it being marked down to just over $30 from its original price of about $100, it quickly became a part of my family and the show stopper to my Rome holiday. I mentioned this previously in my Rome Mini Guide, but there's something about the Piazza Navona that I love. Yes, in the past few years it has become a bit overrun with selfie stick sellers, but I just adore the architecture within it. As a fan of Bernini sculptures, the center fountain features his work as well as an obelisk that towers above it all. And, it you're able to visit it when it's not too busy, it can be a great spot for some photos. I adore the vines in the background of some of the photos, and when I spotted them I just knew that I had to take a picture. Elizabeth xx
