Eureka is a fairly large city in northern California noted for its fine collection of old Victorian houses. We passed through here while driving the coast in May 2010. The old town is pleasant to walk but we were there on a Sunday and most things were closed - but it looks like it would be worth going back to.
Genuine wood is a pleasure to look at and a log house simply makes us feel good. But why is that? Read the five features of a log home.
It is essential for you as a homeowner to perform routine maintenance on your property to ensure that it continues to be in good shape and that it is pleasant for you to live in. But, even if you complete the necessary maintenance, there will come a moment when your house won't feel quite right to you. Maybe there are unusual noises, draughts, or bad smells that you can't seem to get rid of, or maybe there are places that seem worn out or obsolete. Maybe there are all of these things. Maybe there are none of these things. Whatever

Isamu Noguchi’s Akari light sculpture is considered an icon of modern design. Paper lanterns, designed by Noguchi since 1951, are a harmonious blend of Japanese craftsmanship and modernist forms. The Akari 15A Pendant Light is one of the Akari light sculptures designed by Isamu Noguchi. 'Akari' is Japanese and means bright, bright, and light. The Akari 15A pendant lamp is handmade from translucent Japanese paper made from the inner bark of the mulberry tree. The designers compared Akari’s light to that of sunlight filtering through a traditional paper door – the light sculpture creates a warm glow and a pleasant atmosphere.Vitra Akari 15A Pendant Light Details:Finishes: WhiteDimensions:Small: Dia 50cm x H 25cm / ∅ 19.7″ x H 9.8″Large: Dia 60cm x H 25cm / ∅ 23.6″ x H 9.8″Lamps (Bulbs):Light source: LED bulb or Edison bulb.Light source base type: E26 or E27.Material: Mulberry paper, Metal.Voltage: AC 110-240VDimmable: NoPlease note this product is manufactured by dililamp.com.
Hello, dear friends. I hope that you enjoyed your week. I was fortunate enough to spend some time in beautiful Madison, Connecticut visiting with a couple of friends. I will tell you all about it in the next couple of weeks. In January, I wrote a post about doing a little updating on our master bedroom. Well, it's finally finished. This is what the room looked like when we toured the house. The owners enlarged the room by taking down a wall between the MBR and a small bedroom. This was the bedding that I had made in Texas a few months before moving to Massachusetts. When I first laid eyes on the stove I got a little nervous about the heating in the room. I needn't have worried because the radiators do a bang-up job keeping the room toasty. I don't use the words bang-up lightly. The radiators create a symphony of knocking, banging, and whistling sounds all night long. The Mister and I barely hear it anymore. Or maybe we are just losing our hearing. In any case, this is part of the charm of owning a hundred-year-old house. I knew that I wanted to keep the wall color and the furnishings. My main goal was to brighten up the room. I fell in love with the combination of the Wedgewood blue and celery green. Voila! I found these botanical prints and frames on Amazon. They are much prettier in real life. I always like to have my bedskirt puddle to allow the dust bunnies some privacy. If you are looking for some Sheets on the cheap, I found some on Amazon that I love. They are nice and big, they don't shrink and they have deep pockets. They are also so soft and comfy. Btw... I do my best work while having the Real Housewives on in the background. Sidenote: who likes Kelly's new beau? Goodbye old stove, hello fireplace! Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend. It's time for me to get back to the Housewives! Until next time... What if an interior designer is given full freedom to create anything they can imagine? And what if the person who’s design it is for, is himself?..
Turn your workspace into a green oasis
This incense reminds me of the smell of a Spice Cake baking in the oven. It has a cinnamon/nutmeg base that is just enough without being overpowering. Being that is does have cinnamon, I will only be selling this as incense, not as an oil since cinnamon on the skin is not a pleasant feeling. It is however, very cleansing. It is also good for spellworkings concerning money, abundance, and just smells sooo good. (just make sure to wash your hands after handling it; you dont want to learn the hard way that cinnamon based incenses will make your skin burn; I know; it was a lesson I learned when I began to make my own incenses over 30 years ago. I have begun to take orders for my incenses in bulk. However, it will require you to please contact me first to be sure I have plenty in stock. I try to always keep atleast 150 of every scent I make, dried and ready to ship but especially my fast movers; its not always possible. If I do not have enough dried, you will either need to order a smaller batch for now, or wait about a week to 10 days usually for me to make a batch, and get it dried for you. Some of my people like to finish the drying process themselves; once I get it dried enough to ship. Let me know in a convo or message if that is acceptable; it sure makes your entire home smell awesome while just spread out in old mason jars or coffee cups (and you dont need to light any). As I type this, I have well over 700 hundred sticks of fresh incense drying in my home and the smell in here is amazing. Most incenses sold on the market are made using either charcoal, or cow dung; yes; dung. I make my own incenses and have done so for well over 20 years and counting. Once you use handmade incenses, you will never go back to cheap, imported stuff. I sell mine in bundles of 13 joss-sticks aka incense sticks. Each stick will burn for about an hour. I can make as many as needed. Each bundle will have 13 (sometimes a wee bit more of my joss-sticks. Order as many as you need. Happy to ship to Canada and my friends in the UK (with some help with currency and mailing costs) Hard to post suggested rates since this will be a learning experience as I send them out, please bear with me on this. I ship out using First Class Mail, unless you decide on Priority Mailing. Happy to combine orders. As shown in the pictures, I am constantly making more incenses and have it drying everywhere, every full moon. I also now have sample "paddles" so those who are interested can get a good idea of how any scent will smell before making a purchase. Just let me know what you are interested in, and I will be happy to include sample paddles with any order, or convo me and I can send out some paddles with a self addressed envelope and a dollar to cover my costs. Many save the scent paddles and once fully dry; use them as bookmarkers, stash them in special boxes, dresser drawers; anywhere some good smelling scent is welcomed. Thank you for stopping by, don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions and I'll do my best to assist.
