There's no way anyone has any of these things in their home anymore.
You're 100% old if you can recognize the items in these pictures.

There are few things more nostalgia-evoking than seeing something from when you were young; a snippet from your favorite TV series, for instance, or a picture of that toy you loved so much. For kids of the '80s, there’s surely plenty to reminisce about, which is why there’s numerous groups dedicated to images or memorabilia of the iconic time.
Today not many people give as much importance to clocks as they used to do in the past, given that there are many means for people to tell the time. Even keeping this factor in mind, clocks still play a part in the décor of a home as they add to the charm of the walls besides making it a means to teach children to tell time the old-fashioned way. If you are thinking of finding a great way to use clocks to decorate the home, then you need to do so keeping in mind the overall décor of the home. One of the themes you can look for in clocks is vintage. If you are not convinced of this theme then just take a look at vintage crochet patterns and how pretty they are even today to realize that vintage is a good way to go.

2019 Topic 4: Tick Tock Keren here, with our next topic: Tick Tock. There are so many avenues we can go down with this theme; from literal to artistic and even surrealism. Let's kick this off with a stunning exhibition that Emmanuelle Moureaux produced. It was all about representing the passing of time. He used 120,000 paper numerals and symbols that you pass through, just like time. Cool Hunting Representation of time is taken to another level by artist Agnes Boulloche. Look at all the details and the magical world she creates. The Passing Of Time You may prefer to be inspired by a more literal representation of tick tock; I can imagine this clock recreated as an acrylic pour or a multi pulled print using a gel plate. Duane Scherer Studio Perhaps you remember the trend for all things 'clock parts' a while back? This artist has created an incredible time piece with such a high level of skill and intricacy. Susan Beatrice If you're going to create, there's nothing better than spending some time with a book! I love how they've designed it so simply and beautifully. Upcycled Hardbound Book Clock This next piece of art is entitled 'Tick Tock' and there is so much you can read into it. Notice all of those gorgeous textured cogs and wheels. Lilyana Petrova Lulu This journal incorporates a clock. Journals often record memories or thoughts at a particular time so this pretty project is doubly perfect. Georgie C Maybe you want to explore what time means to you and your family or friends? Think about different generational connections and how precious time is between them. Gateway to Connecting The sands of time and measuring time or time running out is perfectly represented by the hourglass. This is a stylish version that incorporates magnetism. Moma Perhaps you'd like to devise a project that is a social commentary too? This is about the destruction of time. There are so many ways that our modern lives both waste and destroy time. Norvz Austria I thought this next ATC piece incorporated so many themes and representations of 'tick tock' and does it in an utterly beautiful way. Scrapperlicious Don't forget about the different elements in the theme. These cleverly curated earrings are a wonderful example of recycling. Something that I wish we could do with time itself! FleaMarketGal Inger Harding has produced such a delicate ethereal version of the Altered Clock. She's taken a Christmas theme which is often a time that we try and immortalise in our memories or encapsulate in photographs. Inger Harding I'm so glad you've spared the time to get to this point. I thought I'd leave you with a last quick look at a piece on the theme of play time. We often speak of playing as creatives and the process of art can feel like play. Lisa Kaus We really hope that you've loved spending time browsing through our 'tick tock' examples and it inspires you to invest a little of your own time creating a piece linked with our 4th topic. There are some further tick tock ideas on this Pinterest page. You're going to love the projects we have coming up for this topic. We are not doing the linked challenge for 2019, so if you want to create along with us and this topic, please share on our social feeds so we can see what you get up to. Those of you who read Offbeat Home have heard about my husband's scandalous love affair with Pinterest. He's been pinning like a fiend for the last six months, and he's got some stuff pinned that I thought might be of interest to Offbeat Grooms who are just starting down their process of "I think I don't want a tux, but then what DO I want?" Here, courtesy of my husband's Pinterest board, are a few ideas.
