❤ PRODUCT DETAILS ❤ DMC Broder Spécial Thread Art 107 Size 12, 16, 20, 25, 30 Made in France DMC Special Embroidery is a 100% brilliant cotton thread consisting of 4 non-divisible strands (you use the thread just as it comes off the skein. It can not be broken down into smaller usable threads). The thread is colorfast making it highly resistant to both light and washing. It is recommended for delicate stitches (Ladder Hemstitch, Blanket-stitch, Sati stitch, etc) and fine motifs such as monograms and initials. The thread is particularly well suited for embroidery on household linen, tiny designs and fine details. "Broder Special" is available in 4 thicknesses (thread size - the bigger the number, the thinner is the thread): Size 12 (23 meters / 25 yards) Most thicker thread OFFICIALLY DISCONTINUED Size 16 (20 meters / 22 yards) Size 20 (28 meters / 31 yards) Size 25 (32 meters / 35 yards) Size 30 (40 meters / 44 yards) Most thinner thread Broder Special is a lot like DMC Cotton Floche, but instead of four strands, Broder Special has five strands. Broder Special is also called “cutwork thread” or “whitework thread” because it is used (usually in white or ecru) in cutwork and whitework.
