'FROM THE TOOLSHED' is printed by hand from a linocut block using rich black ink and it depicts a set of common gardening tools. The design aims to capture the slower pace and simpler life linked to gardening and life at the allotment. With its minimal style, it can be a striking and versatile addition to any wall space and is the perfect small gift for any gardening enthusiast. 🔸 DIMENSIONS & MATERIALS 🔸 — Paper size is A5 (14.8cm x 21cm) — Printed from a linocut block using professional quality Cranfield Colours oil-based ink(s). — Printed on a choice of two different types of paper (use the listing dropdown to select): 1) thin handmade off-white RK Burt natural lokta paper** (30gsm); 2) thick white Kent printmakers' fine art paper (190gsm) — All materials are acid-free and archival grade, and will maintain high quality over time; however, avoid displaying the print in direct light (to prevent fading or discolouration) or a space with high humidity. (**) about LOKTA PAPER: This paper is very thin and durable, with a lovely natural sand colour and is traditionally hand-made in the Himalayan regions of Nepal by local artisans. Each sheet of paper is different; some have visible specks of bark or pieces of fibre—see closeup pics for reference—or light creases from the hand-manufacturing process. This, along with the nature of hand-burnished printing, makes every print unique. I cut bigger sheets of paper down to size by hand, so if you choose this variation, please note the print will have slightly deckled edges. 🔸 ARTWORK DETAILS 🔸 — This artwork is an original relief print (i.e. not a digital reproduction), printed by hand from a linoleum block designed and carved by me, Chiara Mensa. — It is part of an open edition, titled and signed in pencil on the front. — A certificate of authenticity with info about the piece and the artist's bio is included with every order. 🔸 IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE 🔸 — The listing is for a single UNFRAMED print only. — Colours may vary slightly from your screen due to photography lighting and your display settings. — Every print is handprinted and therefore unique so there may be minor variations from the photograph, such as subtle chatter marks and slight variations in ink coverage. This is due to the very nature of the linocut printing process and it makes each print truly one of a kind. Rest assured that I only sell prints that I am completely happy with and would want to hang on my own walls. 🔸 PACKAGING & DELIVERY🔸 I do not offer bespoke gift wrapping, however, all my products come carefully wrapped in pretty tissue paper and plastic-free packaging. For more info refer to the **FAQs section** at the bottom of this listing (just below the estimated delivery timeline) or ask me a question by messaging me here on ETSY. ⚠️ INTERNATIONAL ORDERS ⚠️ For orders from outside of the UK, customs fees are the responsibility of the receiver and since Brexit EU countries may incur a fee even if marked as a gift. ************************************************ All rights reserved (©Chiara Mensa).
