Large modernist silver ring by Danish silversmith Knud V Andersen. Designed for Danish firm Anton Michelsen in Copenhagen Denmark in the 60s. Organic brutalism, this ring looks like its made of tree bark or perhaps stone. Torsgatan's opinion: I have been asked which one of my jewelry i love the most. Of all the beautiful jewelry that i have had and the many more i have seen, this is my favorite one. To me its just spectacular, its perfect. Modernist silver bracelet by the Danish design duo Nanna & Jørgen Ditzel. This silver bracelet with the design nr. 107 was designed for Georg Jensen in Copenhagen Denmark the year 1954. Torsgatan's opinion: Timeless wearable sculpture, the original from 1954. "When viewed in profile, from the side, the shape echoes a Viking axe head". Despite the description from the 2005 Georg Jensen Jewelry book by David Taylor, i believe this silver bracelet is much more elegant and sophisticated. Designers: Nanna & Jørgen Ditzel Country: Copenhagen Year: 1954 Material: Sterling Silver Marks: Georg Jensen in dotted oval=Post 1945 mark Sterling=Sterling silver Denmark=Country of origin 107=Design number NJD=Nanna & Jørgen Ditzel makers mark Condition: Used in very good vintage condition, ready to wear with only the slightest signs of use, some light surface scratches and patina spots inside the bracelet consistent with age and use. One small dent at the edge of the bracelet that can be removed by a silversmith and a small surface bump. The piece is hollow so the condition is very good considering the age and design. The piece has only been polished with a soft silver polishing cloth. The inner circumference of the bracelet is approx: 16,5 cm / 6.49 Inches The inner diameter of the bracelet is approx: 4,7 x 5,7 cm / 1.85 x 2.24 Inches The weight of the bracelet is: 103,9 grams Please view the pics regarding the condition of the item, the jewelry are photographed close using flash and every little detail is magnified.
