Fitted jacket bodice, blue, trimmed at bottom with blue and white knotted net and tassels; high round neck trimmed with ruching; at neck and on sleeve fronts, insertions of ivory silk edged with flat blue tabs. Blue skirt, elaborately trimmed with buttons, piping, net and tassels, ruchings, pleatings and tabs; bustle and short train. Label on tape inside bodice: "John J. Stevens, Importer and dealer in Paris modes / 282 Washington Street / Boston"
