Often considered the best of the Triumph TR's, the TR5 was a limited edition expansion of the TR4, looking similar but featuring 2.5-litre straight-6 fuel-injected engine, developing around 150bhp, this being later placed into the TR6. This engine could propel the TR5 from 0–50 mph in just 6.5 seconds, and on to a top speed of 125 mph.

The Collector is a weekly series produced in association with Gear Patrol. The Triumph TR6 is not just a great car, but a sound investment, as they are still relatively cheap and haven’t found their value in the market yet. There's also a thriving community online for parts and advice, so if you're considering something to both enjoy and tinker with, the TR6 may be the perfect car for you.
