Stained glass panel measures 35”x11” This panel was constructed using the copper-foil method. Each piece was hand-cut, ground to fit, wrapped in copper-foil and then soldered. Dark patina was applied to dark the solder lines. Finally the piece was cleaned and polished . Original panel is sold but I would love to work on a similar design for your home. His carpenter, not I (!!!!) made the wooden frames and installed. ..............Texas clients commissioned a pair of 20"w x 65.75"h panels to hang in their front window. Because of the weight of lead/putty construction, these panels were crafted using copper foil. A wire was inserted in the zinc came and wrapped around the panel, becoming coiled hangers soldered to the back of the frame. In addition, brass wire was threaded throughout the piece for support.
