The Wine Aroma Wheel is a visual representation of the most common wine aromas. A total of 88 wine aromas available in our Sommelier Wine Aroma Kit. This wheel is a great companion during wine tasting. Whether you are a beginner or a wine connoisseur, the Wine Aroma Wheel will assist you in the identification process of aromas contained in the complexity of your wine. In a typical wine tasting process, you will first need to define which aroma families are present in your wine (fruits, flowers, vegetal...). Then, the Wine Aroma Wheel will help you narrow down the aroma family to a more precise aroma subfamily (citrus, red berries, dry herbs, nuts...) to finally the exact aroma itself. You simply need to start from the first inner ring of the wine aroma wheel and move towards its largest ring, which suggests many aromas that can describe the taste of your wine. Once you have identified aromas contained in your wine, you can use inner pages of the Wine Aroma Wheel Booklet, which presents 20 popular grape varieties by highlighting their typical primary aromas, as well as their aromas after vinification, maturation and ageing. This way, you can guess grape varieties, winemaker's vinification choices and the age of your wine by having identified aromas. Grape varieties: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Chenin Blanc, Viognier, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Gamay, Syrah/Shiraz, Malbec, Grenache, Tempranillo, Nebbiolo, Sangiovese and Zinfandel/Primitivo. This Wine Aroma Wheel is the second version of our original artwork that have been donated to Wikipedia with its translation available on Wikimedia. Our first Wine Aroma Wheel with 80 aromas is featured on the "Drops of God" TV Series.
