This is a digital, pdf reproduction of a beautiful and hard-to-find French ladies' magazine from 1947. Primrose was a popular fashion, sewing, and women's interest magazine after the second world war. The fashion designs featured inside were available as mail-order sewing patterns. There are no sewing patterns included. This issue features 18 large-format pages of beautifully illustrated fashions both by designers, and those available as sewing patterns for order. The original magazine was in rough condition and has been digitally cleaned and restored, but keep in mind that these pages won't be completely flawless. Please note that there are no real sewing patterns included, only illustrations of patterns that were available in 1947. 11-piece hand-drafted pattern originally by Simplicity, 'This highly styled swagger coat is ideal for any type figure. It is cut in two lengths, has built-up collarless neckline and sleeves with epaulet shoulders. It closes with one or three buttons. Patch pockets are smartly placed. Skirt is paneled, finished with a belt at waistline'. Similar lines in the checked coat ensemble Emily Richard wore in 'Empire of the Sun'. Pattern is in VINTAGE pattern size 14 fitting 32" bust, 26" waist & 35" hip. 3/4" seams are given at underarm (all side) seams and 1/2" seams are given on all other edges. This pattern (as do many from my collection) has completely illustrated instructions. Patterns are not returnable. All of my patterns are full size on 18-lb translucent bond paper and in stock as I print them on demand. This bond paper is sturdy enough that it doesn't tear like pattern tissue, yet it is light enough to see and cut through easily. PATTERN NOT IN YOUR SIZE?
