Recreation of the operation from the 30 Years War, when the Swedish army attacked Southern Moravia (then part of the Austro-Hungarian empire) and besieged Brno as the last fortress on the way to Vienna. The Swedes have been stopped at Spielberk Castle, but before they have done heavy damage to the surrounding towns in search for supplies. One of them was the town of Veverská Bítýška, which was attacked after the unsucessful siege of the heavily fortified Veveří Castle. Although the town garrison fought braverly, they had no chance against the stronger Swedes and after many assaults took the Swedish offer to leave with their weapons. After this the town was raided by the angry Swedish soldiers, all houses burned down and all civilians killed.
