Hello to all the lovely stampers out there! Welcome to Week 4 with the Art With Heart Colour Creations weekly Showcase which the lovely Catherine Proctor will be running a weekly blog and with other members from the Art With Heart Team. This week we are featuring Blackberry Bliss and I hope we will inspire you with our variations of this gorgeous colour. Blackberry Bliss is from the Regals Collection and comes in a range of Stampin' Up! products from the Classic Stampin' Pad, Cardstock, Stampin' Blends, DSP and more. Even Rainbow Glimmer Paper which I might have to purchase on my next order. I really struggled with this colour, because I only realised that I hardly had any Cardstock left in this colour. I had only scraps and this card front, but I was determined to create something. Blackberry Bliss is a gorgeous rich colour and I wanted to combined it with other bright colours for my sunflower. The Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle is just right for these bright bold colours, I've stamped the image in Stazon Jet Black Ink onto Watercolor Paper and watercoloured the image with the Water Painters. Blending the following colours together are starting with Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Poppy Parade and a new In Color Bumble Bee. I continued to add colour until I was happy with the application. The leaves from the stamp set are also in the same colours. The images from the Sunflower Dies, die cut out the stamped images, but they also have a few extra dies which can add another dimension to your sunflowers and leaves. This can give you a completely different look to your creations. I really love the black paper against the bright colours and it almost looks like Etch Art. The white square panel under the Sunflower is a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and with a Sponge Dauber I've applied Blackberry Bliss Ink onto the Cardstock. I like to start in the center and work my way out in a circle motion. I've randomly stamped the leaf image a number of times using Blackberry Bliss Ink onto the panel of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock and then I ran the panel through the die cutting machine with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. The panel is layered over Thick Whisper White card base. The sentiment is heat embossed, using Versmark Ink, White Stampin' Emboss Powder onto Basic Black Cardstock and fussy cut around the sentiment. I've added a Gold metallic bow to finish off the card. Thank you for visiting my blog today, I hope you’ve enjoyed how I’ve used Blackberry Bliss. Make sure you come back next week to see Bushing Bride in our projects. Hello and welcome to Week 10 with the Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase. Which the lovely Catherine Proctor is running our weekly blog and with a selection of other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from the Art With Heart Team. This week we are featuring Cinnamon Cider in our projects. Cinnamon Cider is one of the new In Colors for 2020 - 2022 and this gorgeous color comes in a range of Stampin' Up! products such as the Classic Stampin' Pad, Cardstock, Stampin' Blends, DSP and more. Cinnamon Cider Today's card I've used a range of Stampin' Up! products both from the Annual Catalogue and the Mini 2020 Catalogue. I decided to use Cinnamon Cider with Basic Black, Crumb Cake and a pop of Real Red for Father's Day. I wanted to get ahead of things for Father's Day, so I made a card and gift tag. For the card I've started with the card base in Cinnamon Cider Cardstock, layered with a panel of Basic Black and embossed Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder in Crumb Cake with sponged Crumb Cake Ink. When using new stamp sets, I like to try out different colors to what I see in the Catalogue, for the Forever Fern Stamp Set I've stamped the images using Cinnamon Cider Ink onto Crumb Cake Cardstock and Memento Black Ink onto Cinnamon Cider Cardstock. I really love this combination of colours together. Beautiful Autumn Bundle The Beautiful Autumn Bundle is on page 45 of the Mini Catalogue the Stamp Set and Autumn Punch Pack can be purchase together and you save 10%. There are three shapes: acorn, maple leaf and oak leaf in the size at 3/4" and they are so cute! I've used Real Red Ink & Cardstock and Cinnamon Cider Ink & Cardstock for the images. Before adding all of the elements, I've embossed the panel of Basic Black Cardstock with the Subtle Embossing Folder and wrapped Linen Thread around the card. The Cinnamon Cider Twill Ribbon adds another dimension and texture. The stamped image of the sentiment is from the Best Year Stamp Set page 133 of the Annual Catalogue, this is a very handy stamp set as there are so many different greetings for all occasions and perfect for Father's Day. Acorn Trinkets The cute little Acorn Trinkets are so sweet, they are metal with a antique copper finish and perfect with Cinnamon Cider. As I had extra stamped images left over, I decided to create a gift tag and it coordinates well with the card. Using Cinnamon Cider, Crumb Cake and Basic Black for the tag. As the sentiment is too wide I snipped Day! off and placed it underneath. I've used the Delightful Tag Topper Punch, but you could the other Stampin' Up! Tag Punch or Dies for a gift tag. Please visit Catherine's Blog to see her creation and all the links are there as well, so you’ll be able to see everyone’s creations for this week’s showcase. Thank you for visiting my blog today, I hope you’ve enjoyed how I’ve used Cinnamon Cider. Make sure you come back next week to see the colour Coastal Cabana in our projects. Hello and welcome to Week 11 with the Art With Heart Colour Creations Weekly Showcase. Which the lovely Catherine Proctor is running our weekly blog and with a selection of other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from the Art With Heart Team. This week we are featuring Coastal Cabana in our projects. Coastal Cabana is part of the Brights Collection and this beautiful colour recently came back to Stampin' Up! a few years ago. Coastal Cabana comes in a range of Stampin' Up! products such as the Classic Stampin' Pad, Cardstock, DSP, Ribbon and more. Today's card I've used the Forever Fern Bundle which is on page 110 of the Stampin' Up! 2020 - 2021 Annual Catalogue. I recently purchased this bundle and I'm so glad I did! I wanted to try out the Forever Fern Stamp Set in Coastal Cabana and Magenta Madness inked up and stamped onto Whisper White Cardstock. The coordinating Forever Flourishing Dies, die cut the stamped images out and I've also used Gold Foil for the foliage. Also from the Forever Greenery Suite is the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper, which you receive precut card fronts and greenery accents. One side is Gold Foil and the other is Whisper White. This makes card making quick and easy while adding beautiful accents to your projects. Before adding all of the pieces to my card I embossed using the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder with a panel of Whisper White Cardstock. I really love it in embossed in white. I've added the Gold Hoop Embellishment as the starting point to my card and then I played around with different accents, stamped images and dies before I was happy with the layout. The sentiment is from the Fancy Phrases Stamp Set which sits nicely in the arrangement of foliage. Please visit Catherine's blog to see her creation and all the links are there as well, so you’ll be able to see everyone’s creations for this week’s showcase. Thank you for visiting my blog today, I hope you’ve enjoyed how I’ve used Coastal Cabana Make sure you come back next week to see the colour Crumb Cake in our projects. If you would like the new Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue, I would be happy to send you a copy out to you. Please contact me here. Happy Stamping Vicki Boucher
Hello and welcome, It's been awhile since my last Colour Creations blog with the Art With Heart Team, but I couldn't miss out on Petal Pink as it's one of my all time favourite Stampin' Up! Colors. I just love the softness and it was the perfect colour for my Happy Anniversary card. Each week the lovely Catherine Proctor runs the Colour Creations Showcase with a selection of members from the Art With Heart Team join in and show off their beautiful projects using Stampin' Up! Colors. Make sure you click on the link at the end of my blog to see their creations. I've used the Always in my Heart Bundle which is in the Mini Catalogue January to June 2021 on page 12. I won the Always in my Heart Stamp Set at last years On Stage At Home being a Demonstrator has it's perks, so all I needed was the Dies to complete the set. I love how the sentiment fits in the stitched banner die perfectly. To create the large detailed heart using the new Blender Brush, I've lightly sponged Petal Pink Ink onto a sheet of Basic White Cardstock and die cut the image out. As you can see I've given the heart a light subtle pink look. The solid center heart is a lot darker than the outer flower images. The stamp set has some beautiful floral and leaf images to add to your projects. Using scrap pieces of White Cardstock I've stamped the images in Petal Pink, Sahara Sand and Balmy Blue this is a beautiful colour combo. Using the Stampin' Blends to colour in the images in the following colours - Petal Pink L & D, Balmy Blue Light, Ivory, Crumb Cake Light and Color Lifter to blend in the colours. The Ivory and Crumb Cake works well together with Sahara Sand. There are matching dies for the smaller pieces. Sponging Petal Pink Ink onto a scrap piece of (make sure it's wide and long enough for the Banner Die) Basic White Cardstock with the Blender Brush. The sentiment is silver embossed onto the Cardstock, by stamping the image in Versamark Ink use Sliver Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. Then die cut out the sentiment using the Stitched Banner Die. There are two score lines on each side of the banner to give you a raised look. As the banner is raised you can add many layers underneath by using Stampin' Dimensionals for the stamped images and the solid part of the heart. The panel under the die cut pieces is the Pearlescent Specialty Paper which is in the Mini Catalogue, I love the shimmer of the paper and blends in well with the colours I've used. This is layered over a half sheet of Petal Pink Cardstock. To finish off the card I've added the Basic Pearls Jewels to my project. Thank you for visiting my blog with the Colour Creations Weekly Showcase and I can't wait to see everyone's projects. Hello to all the lovely stampers out there! Welcome to Week 6 with the Art With Heart Colour Creations weekly Showcase. Which the lovely Catherine Proctor is running our weekly blog and with a selection of other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from the Art With Heart Team. This week we are featuring Bumblebee and I hope we will inspire you with our creations of this bright happy colour. Bumblebee is one of the new In Colors for 2020-2022 and is from the In Color Collection. Bumblebee comes in a range of Stampin' Up! products such as the Classic Stampin' Pad, Cardstock, DSP and more. The inspiration for my card was the striped DSP from the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper, I just love the brightness & happiness of this paper! The colours in the DSP are Bumblebee, Magenta Madness and Poppy Parade. I've also used these bold colours, but a softer tone for my Watercolor Sunflower and leaves. The good thing with the Watercolor paper is you can add lots of water and ink to the paper. Using Whisper White Cardstock for the sunflower & leaves dies and Gold Foil for the smaller leaf sprigs dies. The long scolloped die from the Peony Dies, is stunning in Gold Foil and I've placed the strip alongside the DSP. The layer underneath is a wash of Bumblebee Ink, using the wide bristle brush from the Water Painters and I've inked up the Shimmery White Cardstock. It's amazing how light Bumblebee ink can be. Before adding the Sunflower and leaves, I've placed a strip of Magenta Madness Ribbon under the strip of Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon, they go so nicely together and adding a Gold Trim Bow was a must! To finish, I added three of the Bumblebee 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots. They are so cute! Please visit Catherine's Blog to see her creation and all the links are there as well, so you’ll be able to see everyone’s creations for this week’s showcase. Thank you for visiting my blog today, I hope you’ve enjoyed how I’ve used Bumblebee. Make sure you come back next week to see the colour Cajun Craze in our projects.
