City dweller, successful fella, worked in a bank as a clerk but he thought to himself, “I want to live a life that’s a lot less monetary.” So he taught himself to paint and draw and all his friends who saw his work said “Cor! You ought to take this up, seriously.” And that, in the musical stylings of Blur, is a brief introduction to Artuš Scheiner (1863-1938), the quiet little white collar worker who gave up his career as a pencil-pushing, number-cruncher at the Financial General in Prague, to become one of Bohemia’s most successful artists and who produced a phenomenal amount of work during his seventy-five years. Yet, for such an industrious and commercially successful artist, there is, perhaps surprisingly, little written, well, in English at least, about Scheiner other than he lived, he worked and he died, which is really quite fine as it means we get to concentrate solely on the work he produced. In his twenties, Scheiner started selling comic illustrations to the local newspapers and magazines. He had taught himself how to draw and paint but kept his passion a secret in fear he would be ridiculed for having such high...

Weird Cyclops Cat, Queen portrait, Pop Surrealism from Wibbley World This is a print of my original painting called "SCHNENKY, Queen of some Good Cat Parts" This is a portrait of my one eyed cat, Schnenky, who sadly has gone on to greener pastures. I painted this as a gift for a Secret Santa Swap in an art group a few years ago, and let's just say I won't be doing another one of those any time soon, or ever. That place was lousy with deadbeat Santas! But that's neither here nor there. Schnenky had her flaws, but she also had a lot of good cat parts, hence her title! * * * MATS ARE NOW AVAILABLE! Adding a mat really makes these prints stand out, and makes framing SO EASY!! They look great! See example in photos. Please note - at this point I only offer white mats. is included in the series: Perspective of the time oil on canvas context: Philosophical stance of science fiction with time travel, where the individual alters events from his past, thus modifying his own destiny, either consciously or unconsciously, through cause-and-effect actions, either having encounters with himself or canceling his own existence in a paradoxical way. Such possibilities can manifest themselves in events of a same time. About this artwork: Classification, Techniques & Styles Oil Paint consisting of pigments bound with linseed oil or carnations. The traditional technique consists of superimposing layers of paint increasingly rich in oil for a solid and durable hanger. Surrealism Founded in 1923 by the writer André Breton, it will unite many artists like Salvador Dali (1904-1989), Max Ernst, René Magritte (1898-1967), Victor Brauner (1903-1966). Influenced by psychoanalysis, they see psychic life as a new field for renewing the arts. They will develop new ways to create and use new materials. Technic Painting Painting is an art form of painting on a surface by aesthetically applying colored fluids.
