A white tiger in captivity at Singapore Zoological Gardens. The presence of stripes indicate it is not a true albino. In the wild, Bengal White Tigers are found exclusively within South Asia, notably in India. Although Bengal tigers make up 60% of the world’s wild tiger population, individuals with white coats are indeed very rare. Only one White Tiger exists out of every 10,000 normal orange-coloured tigers.
Big cats are one of the most powerful members of the animal kingdom. They are also extremely gorgeous, so it's no surprise that their babies are beyond cute. Prepare to fall in love with them!
This is a portrait of the male white tiger which I particularly like, but more will come soon!
This is a stunning picture with great 3D effect. Actual picture size is 11" x 15" Mat width is 2.5" Picture and mat will fit in a standard 16" x 20" frame.

.WHITE TIGER SWIMMING.These incredible photos of a White Bengal Tiger named Odin.Odin is six years old and 10 feet long from tail to nose.Odin lives at a Zoo in Vallejo, California, near San Francisco .Odin with his British trainer Lee Munro.Odin was hand-raised at the zoo. And after he was weaned, his British trainer Lee Munro discovered his remarkable skill. When a lump of meat was thrown into a pool of water, Odinwould happily dive in after it.He makes a funny face - and its actually to close his nostrilsto stop the water from going into his nose. Not all big cats enjoy the water but for Tigers from the hotclimate of South-East Asia its one way to cool down.Plus they hunt in and around water. Theyre an ambushpredator so they wait for prey to come down to the water. When you actually see him dive underwater he looksso graceful,Odin loves the water and he loves food, he said. Notall big cats will dive and swim underwater even for meat treats.Munro said tigers were the most powerful swimmersout of all land-dwelling animals.Tragically, within our lifetimes, zoos might be theonly places left to see these magnificent animals.A century ago there were about 100,000 tigers inthe wild. Now there are just 2,500 adults, with theBengal variety almost extinct. None has been seenin the wild since the last white tiger was shot and killed in 1958.White tigers are the most rare. They get their whitecolorfrom an unusual and extremely rare genetic combination.( Pictures to follow in next post )
