Spent yesterday morning on the North York Moors, looking for Wheatears, but unfortunately this cracking little bird evaded me. On the plus side there were plenty of Red Grouse about, these birds make a superb burbling sound when in display mode.

I anticipated this Badger's route and waited low and quietly as he trotted right past me at close range. You get a good sense of the size of those claws here. I'd hate to be on the receiving end of this in a fight!
