Paired artwork Eg se tig - Rainbow-eyed - Art Print Collection is a pair of complementary prints, which look stunning when hung together. The Rainbow eyed prints are only sold as a pair. The story behind the artwork You are invited to step in, as these windows to the soul reach out to you; looking out for themselves as well as for others. ‘Eg se tig’, meaning ‘I see you’ in Icelandic, is a masterful contemplation of the human psyche; an acceptance of our desire as humans to see and want to be seen. The webbing of nerves running through the eye mirrors the bars on a map or the veins of a leaf - vital life-giving lines of communication, care and connection. Billowing clouds soften great mountains, reflecting nature’s elusive blue light; its shorter waves making it nature’s most celebrated hue. Teetering toadstools embody the force of nature within us all; a unique and boundless creativity that cannot be extinguished. The wisdom of the owl and the kingfisher’s promise of prosperity bask in the beaming rainbow of lashes, scattering a spectrum of light that seems to radiate from the soul, symbolising tolerance, inclusivity and loving care. An original and beautiful ‘duo print’. With a title like that, the expectations are going to be very high. I hope the post lives up to it for you. This part of the title: "Goosebumps on my Brain", is actually a quote I found on Oleg's social media site. Just wanted to pause a second on that, because it's the fist time I come across this saying and it's AWESOME. Imagine if that were possible... We have all experienced it on our arms, the neck or back. Can you imagine how weird it would feel, if it happened on the surface of your brain? The thought alone is enough to give you Goosebumps... Oleg's digital art really does live up to that quote, with his images serving as snapshots of alternative realities; just waiting to be explored. This trip can be taken without having to worry about the current travelling restrictions; affecting various parts of the world, right now. Have a fantastic/surreal week ahead and take care. Ps. Ive been experimenting a little more with low level shots. I couldn't resist shooting the light streaming in through the window late one afternoon.
An evocative portrayal of vulnerability and resilience, this artwork captures a visage seemingly trapped behind shards of shattered glass. The fragments create a mosaic of emotions: the eyes, a brilliant shade of azure, are filled with a mixture of hope and melancholy. They stand out as windows to a soul, yearning for freedom and understanding amidst a fractured world. The play of lights casts a spectrum of hues upon the shards, illuminating the subject's freckled skin, delicate lashes, and the faint blush of her cheeks. Each piece of broken glass tells its own story, distorting the image in varying degrees, yet collectively presenting a vivid, almost palpable emotion. The atmosphere is saturated with tension. The cold, jagged edges of the shards juxtapose the soft, warm features of the subject, emphasizing her fragility in the face of adversity. Yet, amidst the chaos, there is a sense of resilience. The eyes, though surrounded by fragmentation, remain intact, undeterred, and piercing through the chaos. This masterpiece resonates with themes of perseverance, inner strength, and the multifaceted nature of human experiences, reminding viewers of the beauty that can be found even in brokenness.
It is impossible to know why some of us are broken open while some of us are just broken. If we knew how to invoke the difference, we could change the
I am always looking at windows, hey, that’s what I do, and I am constantly dreaming of new ways to excite you about what you choose to cover your windows. But today, I’m looking out my windows and now that summer is on the rise, the skies are layered in a purple haze and the…

Photos on today's post taken by Merisi in Arles. The woman at the window. Merisi is a photographer who loves to capture light. She looks for it playing, then focuses her camera to have it paint her photos. While in Arles we went to see an exhibition of photographers. In one of the galleries (a convent built several hundred years ago) the play of light was teasing Merisi. She asked me to stand by the window, and to keep my movements to a minimum. As she captured light, I looked at the window. A stone wall faced me, nothing interesting to behold... then a dandelion seed floated by... a single dandelion seed airborne slowly caught my imagination. The convent, the woman, the seed. A moment of prayer, a moment painted by light.
